Summary of Week 2!

2009-03-14 12:54 by zappater

There are enough games played to burn out the writer delaying this by two weeks. However tVS still dominates, both div1 and div2 gets more alive and we got some VERY interesting games for you from div1!

To everyone who played this week, a big thank you! This week has been filled with activity and a total of 40 games has been played! I am stunned and I didn't expect this at all, which is what caused this almost two week delay. Again, THANK YOU!

Well div3, here we go! 21 games have been played and this week it was TPA and Fian that would start it all. Unfortunately for us spectators this game was a total rape as the Amoebas couldn't handle the heat. DM2 40-329 and DM3 68-206! Match Info Demos
TPA filled with rage over this loss quickly challenged Pipedope, and while DM2 this time must have been a lot cooler as TPA easily won with the score 297-90 DM3 would prove to be a harder fight. Immediately TPA took full control, and they kept it until the fifth minute when PD got pent, however TPA got quad and ring. The duel would be won by PD who wasn't able to use the next quad to gain any form of advantage. Mayhem ensued, one minute PD would be running quad the next TPA would fry everything in sight. Pent came, PD got it and quad as well, but could not gain a decisive advantage this time either as TPA got the next quad and the mayhem continued. Another pent, PD got it again! They took quad as well, third time and last chance at getting control and they got it! They took the next quad as well and the hunt began, 3 min left and there was a 30 frag difference favouring TPA. One minute left and TPA had somehow got quad and even though PD would get the last quad, there would only be 15 seconds left. Everything was lost as TPA won, 158-131! Match Info Demos TPA being inspired continued their crusade as they charged into Portugal only to be stopped by Quinas, DM2 73-239 and E1M2
115-226. Match Info Clearly hot weather wasn't their thing, so they moved on to Hungary. The Floyd fans ran them over on E1M2 116-235, but DM2 would prove that being Comfortably Numb isn't always a good thing, 182-109 to TPA, now only that base was left and once again TPA would have a hard time as CN ran them over, 44-220. Match Info
TPA being hungry decided give robbing a try, but the Bacon men would not part with their food. DM2 123-180 & E1M2 96-247. Match Info Things weren't going good and worse they would become as suddenly someone started to shoot them in the back. They barely had the time to turn their heads before they saw the score: 43-207 DM3 and 80-277 DM2 in favour of Boomstick Ownator's! Match Info

Having hit rock bottom, it couldn't get any worse. But seeing blood running along their arms they suddenly realised that it could as they stepped up into the ring with Bloodpunch!
DM2, BP got a head start as they got both RLs and quad, for three minutes they controlled the Claustrophobolis without letting TPA get much done. But in the third minute TPA got quad and for a short time there where chaos. Out of the smoke stepped TPA, with RL and quad in hand it seemed like they would have everything under control but just minutes there after BP successfully pushed into quad. Again we would see BP fight like they had everything under control, and TPA would seem in trouble. But in the 13th minute Kepap and Cujo with some good team work gained control over quad for TPA. TPA fragging fast got the lead, but they had problems utilising their quads as BP quickly killed them. With three minutes left BP had once again got control, and TPA where leading with only 4 frags, clearly the victory must be in BP's hands now. One minute left and BP had the lead with 3 frags and control of quad. Last quad spawned and was quickly killed in the few seconds of chaos that was left TPA proved themselves to be the faster fraggers as they won with 151-148!

TPA with the lead now had to face BP on DM3. BP got quad and TPA took pent. TPA would come out on top with a one frag lead but BP fought hard and was rewarded with quad. But control would quickly switch sides and in the fourth minute it seemed like it was all TPA. Pent and quad would be divided evenly again but this time TPA would not let the next quad slip. TPA increased their lead, until the 8th minute when Jimo grabbed the attention of the two TPA players defending quad allowing Stickman to ambush them! With quad in hand Stickman where prepared to cleanse DM3 from TPA only to get tricked and killed. TPA remained in control, Pent was once more theirs and again they could not take quad as well. Everything was going well, they had the lead, they had control, they had quad and then they forgot pent. BP without thinking twice took it and then ran hoping to grab quad as well, while that failed quad was killed as soon as it spawned. 2 minutes left, BP had control but was down by 10 frags. One minute, 4 frags, would they be able to make it? 30 seconds, running quad but still not leading. 5 seconds, its equal but then Jimo sees one from TPA at sng. Time is ticking, 3 seconds, he has caught up with him, firing rockets and with 1 second left the enemy goes down! BP wins 136-137! Its 1-1 and E1M2 left, first quad is TPA's but its quickly killed, next one goes down as well. Third quad and BP takes it, they aren't able to gain much advantage from it but at least the next quad is theirs as well. Killing at least one RL BP is able to start pulling ahead. The map is theirs, TPA can't even get close as BP with ease take their third quad. But from nowhere Cujo takes control over YA, killing BP players left and right the quad goes down as it spawns. Even without YA, BP is able to take another quad and once again secure the map. Cujo with only a GL charges into quad, the fighting is fierce, quad dies, and YA switches hands. Some great play by Putte as he kills most of TPA and Jimo finishes it by killing Cujo with quad. The reward comes as next quad along with YA is theirs. BP in full control just moves over TPA until the 14th minute when Feari cleans up a beaten down BP at quad. For no clear reason TPA has trouble coordinating the defense of quad, resulting in it dying within seconds of spawning. The next quads go to BP but dies quickly due to TPA putting up some great play. The reward is there, YA and quad has switched hands but with only 2 minutes left and 37 frags behind all hope is lost. E1M2 181-214, 1-2 in favour of BP. Match Info Demos
TPA finish their week by walking over MOFO, DM2 234-37 and E1M2 237-47. Match Info Demos
This week would prove to be hard for MOFO as they got steam rolled by not only TPA but Quinas as well, E1M2 72-242, DM2 38-281. Match Info Quinas went on to destroy PD, DM3 180-77 & 295-91 showing that they will be up there fighting for the top spot. Match Info The last weeks leader Fian decided to wreck a wedding as they won over At My Friends Wedding, E1M2 241-90 and DM2 202-92. Match Info Demos
The legion of doom tried to scare a few peasants but they apparently weren't ready for them to be armed with boomsticks as they lost DM3 95-186 and DM2 83-330. Match Info Against the dope heads of quakeworld it went better as they wiped the floor with them on DM3 208-118. E1M2 would however prove to be harder, but daemons, a feeling of damnation and some drugs can scare anyone as they emerged victorious 171-159. Match Info Pipedope would soon feel that it can very hard to play QW while you are high as they lost to BP on DM3 68-227 & DM2 68-301 Match Info and against FA on DM2 78-261 & DM3 122-142. Match Info BO crashed into Drastic Collision, being shaken they lost E1M2 131-197. Having recovered from the initial shock they where furious as they destroyed DCo on DM2 267-74. The base would decide everything, this time it was boomstick friendly and it ended 165-111. Match Info
BP having had a hard fight against TPA was fully warmed up as they faced of against DCo, winning both DM3 and E1M2 with ease, 200-47 and 190-131 respectively. Match Info Demos Seeing a light BP hoping it was heaven walked towards it, only to get burnt on DM2, 125-184 to ABLZ. Retreating as normal to their base they defeated ABLZ with 192-123. Showing some mastery of E1M2 they ran through and beyond ABLZ as they won with 213-148. Match Info Demos

Punching Floyd in the face never goes unpunished, something CN decided to show BP as they took them on. It all started on DM3 with CN getting pent and successfully converting it into a lead, however BP once again showed that they are strong when it comes to controlling quad and they would not let CN have the next one! The first minutes are close. The scores are equal, third quad is killed in a second and armors are divided between the teams. 5 minutes in, BP has a lead of 14 frags but CN gets pent! However history as it often does repeats itself and BP remains in control. Suddenly two quads go to CN, but the scoreboard refuses to show any change as BP is ahead by 16 frags. They get a third one as well and now we see some change as the distance to BP has shrunk to 9 frags. Third pent and BP is nowhere to be found, this time CN gets quad as well but this does not stop BP as they increase their lead to 13 frags. CN continues to fight, they take quads, armors, weapons but still it seems like BP is always one step ahead then 14 minutes in it all pays off as they get the lead! Third pent goes to CN as well but they still can't seem to pull ahead and with two minutes left the lead is only 3 frags. Last minute and nothing has changed, last quad spawns and BP grabs it! Proving that they can frag fast when they need to BP catches up and wins with 119-126!
Moving on, next map is E1M2. CN starts out good and with one fourth of the game played they are in the lead but control is with BP. But things changes fast and the next minute they are dead equal, BP controls quad but CN has YA. BP has no intentions of letting things remain this way and they successfully convert the quad into map control and a lead. With half of the map played BP has a stable lead but not any of the teams are able to take control. Only 5 minutes left and BP has increased their lead to a total of 68 frags. CN in a desperate attempt at getting control charges for quad and they take it but before they are able to use it BP kills it, with this the battle field turns into chaos. The last quads are killed as they spawn and BP maintains a stable lead ending the game 221-148 in favour of BP. Match Info Demos

CN then took on DOOM, here we have another close set of maps but things are getting a bit long so I will leave it short. It all started on DM2, where DOOM seems to be getting more and more comfortable and they won with a small margin of 149-160. Directly after that we return to DM3 like we almost always do, I believe it safe to say that this map is the most played, I will make sure to check map statistics for the last week. It was to be another close map, but this time CN was the ones to have the advantage and the map ended 166-124. We finish this set of three maps with E1M2, there wasn't much to talk about when it came to this one. Judging by the scores it was a fairly easy win for CN that won with the results 235-142. Match Info CN then finished this week for div3 by blatantly raping AMFW. DM3 209-96 & E1M2 268-68! Match Info

Oh at last, lets get on to div2. This division seems to be the least active one, however they have also stepped up and started to become more active. This week we got to see a total of 7 games, not much compared to div3 but at least its an increase. Segfaulters started this week by getting painfully owned by FU on DM3, 60-230. DM2 was a bit closer but this map would also go to FU that are expected to make it far in div2 this season. Scores being 126-174. Match Info Demos FU continued to prove that they will have something to do with the top fight this season as they took on The Outcasts Clan.
They started on DM3, TOC got a full start, however quad was quickly killed. They tried to take advantage of this but just barely succeeded. All the way until the 13th minute the map was in their hands not to say that FU didn't give them a great deal of troubles, but with the majority of quads and pents they had everything needed to take a big lead. When FU finally took control the 13th minute TOC's lead was only about 30 frags.
FU showing that DM3 is their map quickly took advantage of their first real quad and started to kill off TOC, for the quad at the 14th minute they delayed it so they would be able to have a power-up non-stop for the next minute. Quad, pent and quad without pause hurt TOC a great deal and with four minutes left TOC's lead was only 6 frags. The next minute it was FU who had the lead by 6 frags and while FU wasn't able to control quad for the two last minutes the damage was already done. 165-147 in favour of FU.
E1M2 was next on the list, this time it was FU's turn to take the first quads. Five minutes and they had a lead, but nothing that could be called safe. TOC started to put up some real pressure and even got a quad, however it was taken down before doing any real damage. The next few minutes was filled with chaos and killed quads like most even E1M2's. In the 11th minute Ilkka with only armor attacked MH where TOC had a player with RL positioned. After some great play Ilkka managed to not only kill the RL but get it as well! TOC quickly flooded him without getting anything in return.
Somehow TOC got the next quad, but without any real control of the map they couldn't use it for anything else then cannon fodder. More killed quads followed and the last minutes unfortunately didn't provide much of anything, a few quads that didn't accomplish much but it was already decided. FU won with a safe margin, the score being 239-171. Match Info Demos

The rest of div2 did have a few upsets but nothing exciting. Segfaulters beat Axemen #2, 2-1. They won their home map DM2 with 197-117 then proceeded to lose E1M2 133-273 just to win DM3 204-139. Match Info SF not being done yet took on TOC, this would be another 2-1 win for them. E1M2 went to SF the score being 248-172 while they lost their home map DM2 176-190. DM3 really didn't go well for TOC and they lost it 205-124. Match Info Many expect the poles in Demolition Crew to win div2 without much problem. They started their way to the top by taking on one of their main rivals FU. DM2 went with ease to DC, 208-135 but FU wanting to show that they where a candidate for the #1 spot raped DC on DM3 73-197! The first but probably not the last fight between FU and DC was to be decided on E1M2, who has the strongest team overall? Well it was close, and that is about everything we can about the game because there aren't any demos. DC according to the logs clearly had the better team but FU was quite effective at killing RLs, however they where worse when it came to taking them but on the other hand they didn't drop as many. FU was also better when it came to taking care of armors, having taken almost twice as many as DC. Quads where dead equal and in the end DC's supreme individual skill was what decided the game in slight favour of them, 156-154! Match Info

DC after this win decided to see if there was any more competition worth looking out for, Bacon, lettuce & tomato was right in their line of fire. DM3 was won with ease, 197-90 for DC. DM2 would be harder but not enough to stop DC as they won with 158-143. Match Info Apocalypse 2000 haven't shown us much this season yet, crawling out from their bunker they quickly took on some outcasts. DM2 was to be won with 227-135 and E1M2 would not be in their way either even if it was harder, ending 197-177 in favour of A2K. Match Info

Div1 has showed us some amazing games this week and with the current results everything might already be decided.. but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. 12 games have been played and this week it was CMF that started it all against Sudden Death. While most of us would expect this game to be an easy win for CMF, the first 15 minutes on DM2 was actually quite hard for them and SD managed to play quite equal with them. However the last five minutes they dominated giving them what on the paper seems like an easy win, 262-140. DM3 was a real rape and the score is 310-174.Match Info Demos
While the top battle of div1 might be exciting there is certain to be a lot rivalry between the bottom teams who certainly don't want to finish last! Oblivion took on Vagabond or as Timmi likes to call them, Venga Boys.
DM3 became a very close game, however after 3000 words I am lazy so I will cut this short. Oblivion got the initiative with Pent Ring Quad, the next three minutes where all in their hands and they got a good 20 frag lead. Vagabond doing some great job at YA and getting RLs the fourth quad of the game would be theirs only to die within seconds. It would however be enough to give them a good amount of control for the next few minutes, something they strengthened by getting PRQ at the fifth minute. This control would continue until the next pent when O showed off their great teamwork by getting Hagge pent and then holding quad for him as well. For some reason O wasn't able to convert this into solid control as only two minutes later V would once again get some control and quads. Third pent went to V but quad and ring to O, and with four minutes left the game was almost equal. O pulled a head but again unable to keep control the last three quads went to V. With 1 minute 30 seconds left they where equal but V got last quad, tilting dm3 in favour of V, 180-173.
The next two maps would however be rape as Oblivion won DM2 and E1M2, 243-171 & 349-167 respectively. Match Info Demos

O then moved on, trying to obliterate perhaps their strongest rival, Fusion. It all started on DM2, it was close as we should expect when these two teams face each other, but in the end O proved to be stronger and won 219-180. E1M2 was going to be even closer. F directly took control, with first RL and quad. Claiming mega and YA it seemed like F had it very stable but when Moltas went to take the second quad O successfully flooded him to death. Ok98 with quad secured YA before moving on to RL, after easily getting the RL he was ambushed by Moltas and the fight was on again! After some intense fighting the third quad went down before doing much damage, but this show of weakness from O wasn't something F would let slip. The next quad F took with ease, as a counter O decided to wait it out at mega. As the attack from F came on mega they where fully prepared and could successfully kill quad thanks to the sacrifice of Ok98. But all this would not stop F it seemed as they maintained control of the map. However the poor quality of the quad run was quickly punished as O took the next quad and got some control of the map back. Fierce fighting ensued and the next quads were quickly killed or unable to do any damage. With 9 minutes left the game was a tie. During the next minutes the game would be more and more in favour of O who with less then 6 minutes left of the game would seem to have good control of the map as well as a stable 21 frag lead. Having control does not matter automatic gain of quad however and F successfully attacked quad and started to fight themselves back. For the first time in this game we would see some actually solid control of the map and the reward did not wait for itself, with one minute left the game was once again a tie! Moltas with quad started to hunt O players trying to secure a win for F, finding 3 members of O at RL he was only able to take down two with Hagge coming away, RL in hand, but he would only find Moltas once more before the time ran out. 211-209 in favour of Fusion. Dm3 was another story much less interesting to tell as from the score we can see Fusion getting raped, 299-86 win to Oblivion. Match Info Demos

SD the former top div1 team would have a hard time this week. After having lost to CMF, they would get raped by Druidz, dm3 80-342 & E1M2 108-346. Match Info Neither would tVS show them any mercy, dm2 380-57 & dm3 302-23.Match Info Drz would then face tVS, unfortunately for us spectators the game would not be very exciting, tVS winning 2-0 like expected, e1m2 155-297 & 148-219. Match Info Demos However make sure you watch BPS show everyone how to handle a few good quad runs on dm3 against tVS from the 9th minute until the 11th.
The old clan Slackers has been picking up activity lately, and they started EQL with a game against Dies Ater. Showing promise in their ability to fight for the top spots of div1 this season they ran over DA, 277-79 on dm3 and 247-160 on dm2. Match Info The week of Fusion continued to be hard, with tVS raping them on dm3 309-67. However their performance on E1M2 was surprising as they only lost by 44 frags, 221-177! Match Info Demos Make sure you watch the demo. Fusion continued to show promise as they took on Dies Ater winning dm2 186-153. The other two maps wouldn't go that well, and they lost e1m2 176-221 and dm3 132-210. Match Info
Drz continued their week by taking on Axemen, starting with quite an easy win on dm3 228-140. Dm2 would prove to be harder but Drz would once again come out on top, 239-217. Match Info
Drz continued to face off agains their two main rivals SR and CMF, both would go to a third map and are very exciting games, make sure you download the demos!

SR vs Drz, dm3! Druidz get QR while SR takes pent, giving them the majority of map control for the next minutes, giving them a good lead. As second pent comes up SR uses their map control to take it with the best resistance by Drz coming from Razor who discharges Paradoks! With continued control SR's lead grows and there doesn't seem to be much Drz can do until Goblin in the 7th minute shows of some great lg skills taking out most of SR at quad and changing the tide of battle! Its the 9th minute, pent is on its way, BPS with quad running towards RA from SNG gets a small chock as Razor pulls of a “tactical finesse” and kills him. The result of this is SR getting pent and can once again claim map control. (The question if Razor should be considered a traitor remains) SR pulls ahead by a great deal and even though they lose control when Drz claims the fourth pent its to much for Drz to be able to catch up and the result is 223-258 in favour of SR!

Moving on to dm2, SR with their luck gets quad but only ONE RL, when did things change?
Paradoks getting a bit over confident traps himself at low rl, and suddenly Drz has the advantage with two RLs against one. While SR is able to maintain control of quad Drz is able to minimize the damage caused by having an advantage in the number of RLs, and its only a matter of time before Drz takes the lead. In the fifth minute Drz gets full control, having 4 RL's while SR has none. For any clan wanting to learn how to do an almost perfect take over on dm2, this is a prime example to study. Somehow Paradoks manages to steal quad at the sixth minute, resulting in a battle where once again Druidz emerges victorious! Having lost quad they managed to make sure their advantage remained by killing all SR RL's. The reward does not wait for itself, with 8 minutes played Drz has a staggering lead of 80 frags! The following is probably one of the least exciting games ever played by two equally skilled top teams as SR does not gain control of the map until the 13th minute and by then Drz has a 128 frag lead, it does however show you the power of RL advantage on dm2 as SR was able to gain control just because they had managed to get an advantage in the number of RLs.
Score 199-156.

E1M2 as decider, Drz gets the first RL and SR takes quad which is killed before any real damage can be done. Even though Drz is able to control YA its SR who gets the quad, which they use to successfully take back YA from Drz. SR with YA and now with two RL's should have it easy but the next quad goes to SG equipped Drz for some reason. The fourth quad goes to SR but is quickly killed, Drz floods YA in an attempt to gain full control, but it is masterly defended by Murdoc who also happens to have SR's only RL. By the fourth minute SR has got a 27 frags lead by maintaining an RL advantage and controlling YA. Control of quad switches once more and Drz starts to get closer but can only maintain it for two minutes before they lose it. Control over quad and pent switches with each quad until SR starts to get a hold on the map. When half the map is played SR has the lead with 33 frags. As the quad for the 11th minute is coming up some heavy fighting ensues, Reppie from Drz getting quad but gets killed quickly and when the smoke has cleared it is SR that emerges with an advantage and an increase lead, 53 frags. With five minutes left not much has changed, SR has a lead of 45 frags and an RL advantage. At the end of the 15th minute Murdoc pretends to be a noob as he is unable to walk into the teleport at mega letting Drz trap him against the wall, making SR lose its only RL. Drz with two RL's does some heavy pushing and tilts the control of the map in their favour or well that is what it seems like until quad goes up and Murdoc takes it. 17:24 quad goes up, SR with one RL and a 40 frag lead, Drz with two RL's and YA. Goblin from Drz takes it and a great hunt begins! SR's only RL is quickly killed and Drz has full map control. One minute left, SR with a lead of 19 frags. Razor with the last quad gets some frags before he stands at RL shooting spawns, 14 seconds left 11 frags difference. The last second passes the score 208-200 in favour of SR! Match Info Demos

To finish it off, Drz vs CMF, probably the most epic game of all week!
We start on dm2, RL's are equally divided between the teams and CMF gets quad, however Drz just like the game against SR manages to achieve a RL advantage 30 seconds into the map. Controlling RA-Mega and having more RLs Drz actually takes the lead with 10 frags after 1min 30sec. (Is it easy enough to defend RA-Mega from quad that you can actually win by doing that?) By the third minute they lead with 33 frags and have already had control of quad. This is also when CMF takes it back again due to having an advantage in the number of RLs. By the 6th minute CMF has caught up with Drz, score 64-64. 8th minute of the game and CMF is leading with 24 frags and they have Reppie to thank for a lot of that as he himself has almost died as many times as the rest of his team mates have together. During the 9th minute Drz puts together a really good attack, killing all of CMF's RLs and taking quad! Razor however wastes it as he is about to take a YA at big but doesn't make sure to kill Fix at one of the buttons. Half time of the map CMF leads with 11 frags, RLs are equally distributed between the teams and Drz has control of quad. Razor has once again been entrusted with the quad and once again is unable to use it as he loses a RL duel with Mazer. During the 12th minute everything is pretty much equal. Reppie with quad pushes forward into low RL and gets telefragged by a spawning Fix. This opens the door for CMF who attacks quad but at the last second retreats as their health gets low. Instead Mawe gets the quad and doing a solid job makes sure Drz keeps control and by the 15th minute they are in the lead with 4 frags and have a strong advantage. 17th minute and quad is coming up HLT decides its time to show off his skills as he alone takes on Drz turning the tide of the battle! With one minute left CMF is leading by 3 frags! CMF only having to deal with some minor resistance from Drz is able to safely win dm2 by 20 frags, 163-143.

The abandoned base, it seems quite active for being abandoned to me, but here we go! After the usual tumult and telefrags we see Drz gets quad, ring and rl while CMF gets pent. Drz claims the advantage and gets control of both armors. Two minutes in, the score is equal 17-17 but Drz has 4 rls while CMF has none. Armors are also in the hands of Drz who manages to get a small lead. But CMF fights back and by the 4th minute the situation is switched. Its time for the second pent and the scores are equal but CMF having 2 rls more then Drz who doesn't have any gets it with ease. During the next 5 minutes neither clan is able to get the lead as quads are either killed or unable to deal any damage. I am very sorry as I am not able to convey how exciting this map is both because of my lacking QW skills and the limitations of the English language. Third pent! The same scenario as last time but now CMF gets them all! Fix having both pent and quad does a solid job making sure control stays in their hands and by the 11th minute CMF leads with 24 frags. 12th minute and Reppie gets the quad! Is it at last time for a come back? The following three minutes Drz is fighting frenetically without being able to close in on CMF! For the first time its Drz that has several rls while CMF has none letting them get their first pent. They quickly make sure that both armors are under their control as they unleash quad upon quad on CMF who skillfully defends. Two minutes left and CMF leads by 10 frags but Drz remain in control. The last minute comes and Drz has been able to convert their control into a 2 frag lead! Last quad of the game is picked up by Mazer! 5 seconds left, Drz leads by 2 frags, 3 seconds 1 frag, 2 seconds and its equal! Mazer jumps from window down into water and without waiting to see who wait for him there fires a rocket! Its Fix.. the last second passes 145-144 win for Drz.

E1M2 gets to serve as decider once again. RL goes to Drz while CMF gets quad something they use to get RLs. While CMF has their focus on YA and RL Drz makes sure to get quad. And while the tactic at first seems to be successful for CMF, Goblin from Drz gets quad and starts moving down CMF getting the initiative for Drz but this doesn't last long as CMF makes a successful push at quad equalising map control. During the 6th minute CMF once again pushes quad, resulting in Drz losing all their RLs and CMF comfortably getting quad. After some heavy fighting resulting in all RLs being wiped from the map control is once again equal but CMF leads with 41 frags. Several quads are killed but its becoming more clear that Drz is in control of the map however CMF still has the lead after 10 minutes. CMF creates some really big problems for Drz resulting in them having lost control by the 13th minute. With five minutes left CMF leads by 34 frags but have lost all their RLs while Drz has two and are claiming more and more control of the map for every second. Two minutes left and CMF still maintains a lead it has however shrunk to only 19 frags and control is in the hands of Drz but CMF still have 2 RLs. Goblin with quad goes hunting CMF, making his way to start the map almost seems empty until he sees Fifi hiding in one of the windows! 1 minute left, CMF still has a lead but its only 8 frags. Desperately trying to hold on to those few frags they have all decided to hide in mega! Reppie makes a successful attacking taking out Mazer and Hlt, CMF's only RL an RL they however quickly regain! Reppie later also find both Fix and Fifi making sure mega is cleaned. Goblin takes the last quad with 30 seconds left and 4 frags behind. 10 seconds left and Goblin team kills but quickly makes up for it by killing Mazer, Drz is now only 1 frag behind! 3 seconds and they are still 1 frag behind! The last second Reppie finds Fifi taking the game into overtime! CMF being desperate tries to get some control back resulting in Drz getting a lead but their sacrifices reward them with quad. Razor doing a great job defending YA stops Hlt with quad before he is able to deal any serious damage. But the next quad also goes to CMF and now its Fix who have an RL! And once again Razor using all his skills defends YA and takes Fix down! 2 minutes left and Drz have increased their lead to 22 frags and this time CMF manages to take control over YA but with one minute remaining Drz leads with 25 frags and its just to late.
252-237 win to Drz! Match Info Demos

Frag of the week: Ok98 stopping Blasphemer with quad at mega on e1m2 3:20.
Mistake of the week: Mazer at the last second of dm3 against drz killing his team mate.

A last sorry for not finishing this earlier. I still need feedback (tell me what is good and what is bad) and suggestions for stuff like frag of the week! Something as simple as a better config for watching demos can help a lot (something I got between the first two SR – DRZ maps). Last I just want to say thank you to the developers of Ezquake, radar together with the teaminfo table makes this a lot easier! Also if anyone got some spare time on their hands and feel like making sure I got enough knowledge of 4on4 for the next coming weeks so these summaries can be done better, give me a pm on irc! Last You have just read 6238 words (not including links)!

If you see anything that needs to be corrected give me a pm on irc, didn't have the time or patience to proof read it.
Also there might be some more demos coming up.

That's one huge coverage post. I guess it will get easier when there is less games left to be played. :)

Perhaps instead of a detailed report from every game, it would be better to pick a few most interesting ones and additionally write some general thoughts how things are shaping up and what is coming up in the near future and what to expect there.

Perhaps it should also be divided at least from divisions and if possible use some clearer headers and titles etc. Now it looks like just one huge long text mass.

Thanks, going to use your feedback and make sure the next one is better, your suggestion helps with me being behind schedule as well. :)

Wow zap... that's a huge post :)

Really nice to put that much effort in, but I agree with blAzes comments.
Make a nice match report of the real thrillers, just 1 or 2 and besides that try to write about how things are shaping up.
Who are looking hot and who are not etc. Special mentions to certain players maybe. etc.

I think this is a bit too much text about who took quad and who took pent etc.
Besides that the effort you've put in is fantastic and appreciated!

Thanks a lot, I roughly know how the next one will look. Will be much more similar to the ones you see on tv of other sports.
If anyone have any more feedback, please share it!
