Tight game!

MOFO's map, E1M2, was first up and with Steppa showing up but deciding that he only wanted to spectate, we fielded the super-CS combo of manny, thomas, pattah and me for the first time. With the balance of our team thrown slightly by the replacement of our most attacking player with a mostly defensive one, we struggled to take enough "good" quads when in control and to flood YA when MOFO got in there. MOFO had the lead for the first little while, before we eventually levelled up and pulled ahead at around 90-90 or so. Control swung back and forth and MOFO retook the lead with less than a minute to go. Somehow, we got some frags from nowhere and with 10 seconds left, we had a 1 frag lead. Cuky got a kill and took it into overtime. MOFO continued to run the quads and hold YA in this period and secured the win.

DM3 was next and it was a similar tale from our side - we did a good job of sneaking around the back alleys of the map but poor old Manny was often isolated at quad. We struggled to hold on to RA and Defcon 5 was a real pain in the ass. We held a lead of around 30 for most of the map though and it was never really in doubt.

So, DM2 was the decider, and it was similarly back and forth for the first 10 minutes. Then pattah started lagging and we had to sub him out for Stefan "Super-sup" Johansson. We pulled our socks up and got a good grip of tele/quad for most of the second half of the map. MOFO did a good job of keeping up a solid base at low RL but our fragging was enough to get us the victory.

e1m2 was a real thriller. Thats why we all love playing QW. thx cuky for that last kill to reach overtime :)
