dm3 felt quite easy from my pov. Held ra nearly all game and helped support quad/bridge when needed. Any enemy I saw was easily killed.

dm2 it felt like I did not see an RL till like 15 min mark. Was one of those games where quad was taken and RL low was sync'd not long behind it. SR played well and when quad came low often they had another team mate suppoting. Any rl from low that was taken was often weak and killed soon after.

e1m2 could hve gone either way but today it went SR's way. Loads of rushing and no real control from either team but SR managed to secure ya/gl/quad for that little bit longer to secure the win.

Too bad about that dm2. Things looked really good at the 5 minute mark when Nitram grabbed quad and killed all sr rls. Fusion could grab the control, but efficient flooding and rl attacks by sr at quad made it only last for 3 mins.. seems like fusion has a bit of practise to make on dm2 :(

We had an awful day (or perhaps week?) for qw tbh. Our dm2 game has been very frustrating lately. Not really sure what the problem has been since it's been one of our stronger maps (e1m2 used to be our worst by far). Guess we're just in a bad run of form at the moment. SR played well however (as expected when they field their best? lineups.). GGs.

We decided "preflop" to let ted play dm2/e1m2. We pracced alot lately with me/murd/zero/ted and ted just showed really good stuff on e1m2/dm2, even if dimman felt like he was in good shape first round.

We made it quite clear before the game started that any weak RL on the map should be flooded to hell. Kinda semi-worked, cause in the end we gave too many frags and didn't manage to keep the control long enough once we did takeovers. GGs though, I had a really good time playing them even though I struggled as hell on DM3 even getting away with a weapon once, DM2 was a chapter of its own, and e1m2 was, like mentioned, a floodfest. Cya in playoffs?

I love e1m2, but to me it seems that at a high lvl the map is failing.
Control is impossible. At lower lvls the pace of the game is slower which makes e1m2 a fun map there, but speccing div1 on e1m2 is always a bit.. ehm.. ffa'ish?
It's not ffa, but it sure does look like it.

Yeah well there is also a nice side of e1m2.. Often there is only 1 stacked dude in the team, so its easy to know who to spec :>

If you get in the flow at e1m2 its real fun, cause frags tend to rack up pretty quick if you manage to do good quad runs and survive to secure ya again.

It's hard to say that e1m2 doesn't work on a high level, it's just a completely different map. At times the outcome of games can rely on a single dropped RL pack if the one that picks it up manages to go on a streak that dimman was talking about. Even though it's less common it does happen at times that there are minute long RL battles around ya/gl or quad side for control with 20 dropped packs which make no difference whatsoever because the ones picking them up are as good as dead already.

Even so I've seen teams retreat to mega for minutes because the other team has one stacked player running ya+gl+quad with scores remaining fairly even because the defense around mega and ga+rl side is good enough to keep the quadrunning team from scoring more frags or getting more weapons to ya+gl safely.

You can always end up in a game where you don't have a RL for longer than seconds so you end up with just sg, ssg and sng but what I really like about that on e1m2 is that you can make a serious difference with those weapons because of the lack of armor and rockets.
Joined efforts in SG spamming a stacked player can be very rewarding just like managing to keep enemies from taking RL even if you die yourself seconds later.

Obviously all those reasons can be turned around and be given as why people hate e1m2, it's just a preference.

I also fail the see any valid arguments on why e1m2 fails at a higher level. It's just different, as purity pointed out pretty well. If you play e1m2 as boomstick ffa, it is you that fail, not the map :)
