Adding the playoffs games without having corrected the group stage tables just makes it a bit confusing for a lot of clans and players :S

Is there somekind of problem with confirming games that include a wo?

From my view it seems that in Div1 its 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 6th, 3rd vs 5th and 4th vs 7th. Seems really weird tbh. Also I can't see how Sauna, 3tk or CCCP can get past SD if that is not the case. I mean, it should be like 1vs8, 2vs7, 3vs6, 4vs5 ye?

Walkovers have been included, they just haven't updated the table. I'm guessing CCCP took WO from revolution (which is strange?) and surpassed suddendeath and Sauna, whom probably didn't take/or get any WO's. Thus resulting in CCCP moving up to 5th, suddendeath down to 6th and Sauna on 7th.

What I mean by strange is that Revolution played real hard the first months of the season but seems to have gone inactive the last 2 weeks. This makes the rules for wo pretty strange, considering teams like CCCP and suddendeath just started to get real active the last week (and the additional 1 week) of the season.

Looking at the groupgames, looks like f - sd is going to be a hot game. :)

Sure, must be the way it goes then. CCCP in front of SD season seems really weird when comparing those two teams result. Not gonna whine about unfairness, but it sure looks like SD is at least the 4th best team this season so kinda suck facing them in the quarters when you've placed 3rd yourself due to abit weird WOs.

I can understand you dont wanna face SD :) to be fair thou CCCP has been kind of semi-active the entire season (we played them early at least) so it might be fully possible they deserved that WO, i dont know any details though. About SD: they only got active the very last weeks and played 8 games so even if they ARE 4th best doesnt mean they deserve the spot since the point system rewards activity alot.
I think we (enigma) prefers getting CCCP thou :) even thou we lost to CCCP and won SD in the regular season.

On paper we're seeded in the toughest bracket I guess, but I think it's perfect for us coming into every game as underdogs. SD aren't very active as a team anyway so if we just field active players I wouldn't worry too much. Slackers will most likely be a tough opponent for either us or SD, but they are beatable for sure. I guess you could pick from getting an easier opponent in CCCP and Enigma but then facing an (almost) impossible task in beating TVS in a semifinal. So I think we should still be pleased with our seeding, considering CCCP and Enigma seems pretty motivated and tries to get pracs going, both teams have great potential so I would be more worried if we were to face either of those teams in a quarterfinal.

SD - f is going to be a thriller. SD in their best shape and with a bit of luck can beat anyteam this season. With some activity they might even face slackers in the final.

Fix your eyes nitram, we had 1(!) unplayed game vs Rev on last week, which i tried to schedule in last 4 weeks, constantly asked on their almost empty
channel. I can't say that we were superactive during this season, but way more active than SD, which played 80% of their games on last 2 weeks.
Actually i don't care about playoff's opponent, because SR/F/Enigma/SD looks more or less equal for me, but these nitram's attemps to get CCCP as playoff's opponent looks so transparent and funny :) Be a men please and accept possible loss vs SD in 1st round :D
And Rikoll, we won vs Enigma, so we should be higher in table from your point of view, but reality is a bit different.

Maybe you should read my post xpr? Where I explained that I rather play SD instead of CCCP and Enigma. Why would I try to mess up your oh so deserved 5th spot? I said the walkover system was flawed, much like it's always been, but on the other hand I had no idea you tried to schedule the game with them, all I know is they've been active at one point, and CCCP active in the latter stage of the season. Besides, my post regarding the walkover was a reply to Rikolls post, clearly I'm not the ONLY one who should fix my eyes here, xpr.

as i remember, we managed to shedule a game with Rev at least 2 time (and first time was definetely in the first half of season), but didn't play because of some avenger's software/hardware problems, and absense of their 4th player another time.

QFs should definitely be 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5, and SFs should then definitely be 1v4, 2v3. Is this the case?

I'm not an admin, but seems pretty logical to me looking at which clan plays which that the seeds are indeed 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5. and semifinals are 1v4 and 2v3. The misunderstanding comes from the old group stage division table that hasn't been updated with the walkovers. So in the case where Machinery have gone missing from playoffs I guess some teams got walkovers and they didn't, which meant they missed their chance. This is why I think the walkovers are flawed, some teams don't even bother to collect their walkovers where as other teams see this as a chance to get a better position and claim WO's, and I think this is what happened in div3. That's not saying activity SHOULDNT be rewarded. But it's just strange when I think a better? team goes missing because other teams were smart enough to submit their walkovers.

Darff: yeah that appears to be the case, its just the WO's havent been added in the tables yet.

And to xpr: yeah I'm not gonna complain about the fairness of it. You deserve the spot, but I still regard SD as a stronger team and therefore would prefer not facing them in the first play off match. Too bad they weren't more active throughout the season. Thats my only point :-).

I think activity is what counts in these tournaments... Otherwise tvs and sd shouldnt play at all since we _belong_ to the final.
Im not sure if this is place for speculation but i watched that sr - sd demo and even sr managed to win bps and the rest of SD showed really strong gameplay there. Even IF diki started to play serious again and wanted to play instead of Milton we are going to have really tough time to win SD (or SR)

There was an older error that gave machinery an extra point vs ABLZ which hadnt been corrected. Div3 playoff fixtures are correct as shown in the news now.

it's logical and I think we all know that it's 1vs8 2vs7 etc.. but the question comes at semifinals. It's not enough to say "2vs3" and "1vs4" . The question is if it's fixed brackets or if the highest seed always play the lowest seed.

I think in previous seasons it has been highest seed always plays the lowest? So that the 1st team always get the best path.

If i'm right regarding your statement that would mean for example, if we were to predict slackers ended 8th and 3tk ended 3rd, would that by your saying mean that tVS would play 3tk? Seeing as they are clearly lower seeded than SR? I think it's always been based on the positions in the table, ie. a fixed bracket. #1 always plays #8th. etc. And #4 and #5 is in that very same bracket. Meaning the semifinal is between the winner of #1 and #8 vs winner between #4 and #5.

About Revolution they have been dead for the last 3-4 weeks, so not so much to bitch about why clans got wos against them. We tried ourselves to schedule, but NOT even ONE player showed up. Yarpen in Revolution confirmed that the clan is pretty much dead, sadly :(

@B1aze: If 2-1 after three maps, the team with only 1 map victory picks the next. In case of 2-2, the team with 2 map victories after tb3 picks. Thought that was quite obvious? :-)

You pick one map each first, the team with the most points from regular season gets to pick first. Then you play the remaining map from the map pool (wether the score is 1-1 or 2-0 doesn't matter).

If the scores are 2-1 to Team 1 then Team 2 picks the 4th map. If the score is level 2-2 after the 4th map then Team 1 picks the deciding map.

I do not. I'm not cl. The Public Enemies have tried to arrange a match already 7 weeks ago. Even yesterday we waited for them by 21 (so it was determined). They were from us: Snow, Haflinger, Faustov, Bibo, Chironex, Nefurii and me. Never us it was not so many players at once.

Report what problems you had with clans. And report wo vs them you tried to play but they didnt show up, simple as that.

My question i brought up was if it's in the 2nd round (semis) is either a fixed bracket or if highest position in the board always plays lowest in the board. (so that the winning team always gets the best playoff-path.)
A scenario: Lets say nr 7 wins vs nr 2. With a fixed bracket it would be 1vs4 and 3vs7. With the other system it is 1vs7 and 3vs4. Im pretty sure both has been used before and it says nothing about it in rules so I my question was which is used.

Not a word about reporting. It seems all teams of div 3 (exept FA and PE) didn’t know what to do in that case. I guess you need to report that you tried to play that game. But is this enought? I’ve just chcecked and PE got 3 WO. They were inactive ALL season and wanted to play all team in Saturday and Sunday. And now they have 3 WO - brilliant !!! In our case – they wanted to play against us in Saturday – i had 4 but not our best lineup so i refused. Then we scheduled our match on Sunday 21 Cest.

Everyone form div 3 knows QAH is inactive ATM. They have played only 3 games in the beginnig of the season.
I dont know if what i showed is enought and it isn’t too late. We were active all the season and i think we earned to play in Playoffs. I also think clans like cmp.qw and PT who were acvite throughout season should have got WO with PE and now its quite different.

I dont know wheter admins change they opinon and let us play in Playoffs – but i know we need one admin who knows whats happenig in div 3 and clear rules about WO. Can you just jump last day and if nobody wants to play game with you then you will get WO?

Agreed, admins deserve credit for making this one of the best seasons in a long time with lots of interesting and even games. Let alone the activity and teams that has surprised.
