Guys from ami certainly won that Mercedes-Benz, which them promised to sponsor, because of other reasons for their unsportsmanlike conduct i do not see. i was afk first half a minute on dm3. I realize that's my own fault, I should've typed 'break' before the beginning of the match. Anyway your willing to win is just so ridiculous that it's more important for you than to play a fair game. Just cowards. I'm not upset coz of loss, frenchballs have a solid teamplay and they are one of the strongest teams of our div. But it could be different. I'm just really dissapointed in one's attitude.

Mads was a really professional player here. First he's in WC the first 1 minute, then comes back and whines, drops, mocks us and refuses to play the next 19 minutes and thus causes VM to lose big time. What else can we ask?

And we understand what you're asking us, but it was so funny that at first we refused to turn off these harmless mods (Cheats by Pektopah). So I think it's not a big deal but rules are rules :/

Kloze, inv1.wav, inv2 and inv3.wavs for example are sounds for invisibility. Modifying those are totally cheat in my book. Player carrying ring makes a little sound, you can amplify that sound to make it easier to find enemy player carrying ring. Modifying "outwater.wav" helps you to know if player comes out of water.

I don't see any reason to modify these .wavs as a part of "tweaking" quake.

Kapitan Kloze - must admit it is just sounds. I liked mine, because for so many years of playing tired of the standard, but frenchballs think that I was getting the advantage of using them. Although some advantage in team play can be obtained using other sounds? I listen to mumble and almost could not hear what is going on in the game.

Ok. I'm off my "cheats". It's normal? I disabled modifications that did not satisfy opponents. This is sportsmanship? Why, then, instead we get a complete disregard for the request for restarting the match after the initial 40 seconds, when nothing has been decided yet?

Bad example. This I do in my mind. And considering that the team plays four is generally not a problem. All the required item is considered to be easily modified to so that the client is extremely stupid. If someone is needed to simplify their lives by playing with cheats then so does, I do not see any reason to forbid it. Community itself sooner or later chasing a dishonest player.

It is also my impression that in Quake has many adults people who get the pleasure of the game. Personally, I would have killed all the cheats pleasure of victory, because I understand that winning is not himself, but only at the expense of benefits. What is the point to play and win, if you do not make this effort, but for you it makes a smart program.

It is very unsporting not to break if one player is idle before and after the countdown. Pre-war can take forever sometimes and its easy to walk away from it. Only reason not to break would be to get an easy win.

It has nothing to do with being grown up. The bigger man or in your case the most grown up person, would definitely of broke the game!

I feel for you russian guys and totally agree with you. Anyone would feel bitter in this situation and you would hope that the enemy shows some understanding. I would of just dropped, if they didnt break. Done it before and that got the offical restarted, may take two of you to drop, to force their hand though.

Custom sounds are cheat if the sound volume is larger than the original sound and cause thats impossible to another team to check, you have to rule out all custom sounds...

On the one hand, the letter of the law says that if you type "ready", you are ready to play and if you walk away from the computer/alt-tab then it's your fault if you aren't there when the game starts. However, it is quite an easy mistake to make, and I would be helluva pissed off if it happened to me. The correct thing to do is to continue the game; the "right" thing to do is to break and restart.

I can see why Frenchies didn't want to do it though; similar happened to Osams in NQR7 vs fnu and we agreed to break then. I didn't agree personally and I was angry about it :D

On the f_modified thing, well that is straightforward. The rules are clear, darkstorm was breaking the rules, fix your damn sound files or don't play in this league.

It's fine to question the rules, but do that *before* you violate them. If you do it after, it is too late to whine.

This applies to pekto too, current rules say "Banned: Different enemy skins".

I feel that playing in the championship is a great honor for all. I see a huge waiting list to join the league. I see a steady expansion of the league and never-ending influx of new players. And of course I see a dynamically evolving game, which every day offers something new.

It is a pity that this is not about QW.

Setting aside the rules and try to understand what sounds I use to play, it becomes clear that this stupid rule could be violated only by the fact that I used them. I did not get any advantage and it can be seen looking at demos or try this sound pack http://gfx.quakeworld.nu/details/383/cool-sounds/.

These sounds do not have the gain to obtain information about the capture of an item is on ra-mega, standing at tele. They're just a different sound. I also can not determine what the player next to me with the ring until I see two crazy eyes in front of me. And I can not pinpoint the exact location of the player under water due to these sounds.

Not a single game where I used the sounds I have not appeared mega-skill. I did not get an unreal amount of frags and showed excellent accuracy. I did not kill enemies, swimming in the water and did well-aimed shot at a player with a ring that has hidden in a dark corner of the room with the RA.

So I see no reason to doubt that I'm using exactly the sounds that put on the GFX, and not any others.

The team franchballs puts me cheater, even without understanding. In addition, a formal rule was not violated, because during the game with franchballs sounds had to be moved to another folder.

And I see some much more interesting to discuss my sounds than unsportsmanlike conduct franchballs.

And yet, I hope that someone smart enough to figure out and understand that there is no cheat to use these sounds were not, other than violations of this dull, conservative rule, the fact of the use of other sounds.

Marvel: There is no Q3-sound pack (at least nowhere in gfx.qw.nu) including outwater.wav or inv3.wav (etc), editing these wav-files, at least I do, should be considered cheating. Also EQL rules clearly say that you shouldn't be using modified sounds/models.

Someone wrote that you Pekto are using different skins in the official games. Unfortunately qw does not inform about of this with using of some command, so you can not be a catch. But once someone is suspected then, I suppose it is not without reasons.

We've always done f_modified before official games. You're suppose to do them before EQL games. About losing a map against you guys, to be honest we don't give a shit, because we can't even play in playoffs because halft of our players are on holidays during playoffs and can't play.

About me having different enemyskins: I'm yet to see any kind of evidence what-so-ever. You can't use different enemyskins with Ruleset Smackdown. And I'm yet to see even a screenshot of me not having ruleset smackdown on.
