Xterm was allowed to play because PM couldnt come into contact with ganon or gor at the start of the game. Xterm will not be allowed to play in the semi or final/bronze games.

This was an exception since time was running out for the quarterfinals to be played.

I hope DC agreed on that? pm got to the playoffs with like 2 games played. If they can't field a team in the playoffs* either maybe they shouldn't be there even tho they have superstar players. Rules should be rules.

Unfortunately you dont have the full story on the groupgames either. They only had 2 games played because other clans didnt want to play them or couldnt field a team versus them before the season was over. From these games Paramedics got walkovers, not much they can do when the other teams wont show up on a server. One of their games was also voided since both teams failed to get the game played in that case.

I think I would've expected more from DC in this game. They have done great improvements, and they definately are a very capable team! Hope they keep up the activity, and maybe next time they will actually beat PM 8)

Well to be honest, I didn't even read the rules correctly and thought it was 100% safe to add one more player that hasn't played for any clan this season. I asked the admin before the game if it was ok if we added Xterm since we lacked 4 players (ganon was at dinner and gor couldn't play until 22). For all I know I could've added anyone as a 4th, it happened to be Xterm because he's reliable and hangs out in our privchannel, so it's not like we just added some div0 to win ez or anything.

And regarding the groupgame I didn't care at all if we reached playoffs or not, I got pressured into taking walkovers from teams that didn't play us. It's not only that teams refused to play us but also problems with getting 4 players online at the same time for the latter stage of the season. Which left me completely demotivated to even continue with eql, yes, some teams blatantly refused to play us. Others were hard to schedule with it or didn't want the schedule at all. I suppose were in the gold playoff more on our status than our merites this season. But then again, what other team would want to take our spot and compete vs sd and sr? None.

Regarding PM in Gold playoffs or not: There was only 1 unsure WO that was handed to PM and thats because the opponent had even more problems than PM getting games played, the rest of the clans told me they gave WO to PM for different reasons.

One game was also voided since niether PM nor FU could show that they had tried to play the game really actively.

#6 Anyone could have jumped in to save your team from inactivity. Especially one who niether had played a single EQL game nor had been signed by another team before. However, I guss your team just rather idled instead of fixing the situation. Sadly so.

If you have ideas on how to run EQL better you are more than welcome to join us and bring your experience and ideas to good work Pektopah!

PM will have to make do with the players they have (gor sqz mil nit gan) for the rest of the games as explained above. I hope that both them and their opponents will be able to arrange a day and time and show up in good time to avoid problems in the rest of this tournament.

The 4 teams who are left are quite obviously the best QW teams we have at the moment and I look forward to speccing the rest of the games.

Hooraytio, For some reason I atleast see on my EQL-rules page: "Teams can not add new players once regular season is over". But hey, it's your league and people who attend have to live with your decisions (btwone of the reasons I personally do rather something else than play in EQL). Seems like EQL's rules can be bent if it is neccesary, ie. not banning marvel but giving shamoth permban(?). About me being an admin, yeah I applied once but got rejected and I don't think it's a good idea since I seem to have totally different kind of idea what's right and what's wrong than most of EQL staff, but I think I might be the guy who's wrong here. But yeah, ggs gl PM in the finals.

I'm pretty sure that Xterm didn't win this game by himself, so no harm done here. It would've been different, if Xterm joined a div3 team in this kind of situation, and had made 75% of his teams frags. That's not the case here. Gotta respect DC for doing what's good for the tournament, thus agreeing this special circumistance.

Pektopah I did get banned you fruitcake and hooraytio is doing the best he can and a good job considering it looks like hes the only active admin? Drop the bitterness man, its boring.

Even with 3 players pm would of still won (no offence dc) so adding xterm, which i think is ok considering its gold? is a non issue here.

Look at slackers, they have their best team signed up and should be favourites.
