Shamoth banned

We now have enough information to ban Shamoth for faking.

As some of you have suspected Sniegowy is a pure faked player. He has been invented by Shamoth from the beginning and used in order to play in a lower division at first (EQL11, 12, 13) and with 2 teams in the same division later (EQL14).

Several sources have finally confessed and/or informed us what we suspected and acted on (banning shamoth/sniegowy)last season, but changed (allowing both shamoth/sniegowy to play) due to lack of evidence this season. Shamoth is in fact Sniegowy and has been from the start.

Out of respect we will not disclose our sources here but they are more than 1 and less than 15. Just so you dont get your conspiracy theories started against certain individuals. The decision is not based on information from a lone source.

Shamoth was given a chance to come clean but didnt and also tried to continue the faking. He will now be banned from EQL.

Update: We've decided that no games with DC that Shamoth participated in this season will be replayed. This unless both DC and opponent wants to replay the game. The main reason for this is simply that he was allowed to play when the games were played and the rule(s) he broke did not affect his performance in those games.

It is really shamoth who should bring the evidence in this case. And the evidence would have to be rock-solid and absolutely convincing. If I was an admin, volunteering my free time to running a tournament and somebody fishy came with excuses like "I can show you evidence ... later" or "I didn't want to explain it because he is my cousin" or "We were on a LAN, there were people who can confirm it ... maybe, later" or other silly crap like this, that person would be immediately banned, until HE actually convinced me. EQL admins bothered to invest lots of their time to investigate this stupid crap, I can only admire them for that. It is stuff that is absolutely annoying to deal with, you do not get any credit for dealing with it, and it is what it is - stupid shit that only annoys everybody no matter how well you deal with it.

So yeah, I am too interested in evidence, which should be brought by shamoth, not by admins. QW does not need more players _that_ badly.

Johnny I agree with you about all except this evidence thing. It's the main accuser halflost should display it here. So far he gained what he wanted - a lot of attention and causing problems to shamoth.

Well, admins gave him a choice to come out clean and stop the fakenicking. I suppose they could again confirm that Sniegowy was playing from the same computer or that he broke one of the other rules the admins set up for him to be able to play. He's only got himself to blame really. Besides his own evidence was pathetic, this is the kinda stuff people pulled back in 1997 when they were 12-13 years old.

I knew halflost was wanting to hurt shamoth so badly he would talk to fake hooraytio without_a_second_thought (I can only apologize I used his nick and no others, first thought, no bad feelings towards the admins). Don't be too hard for Shamoth (one season ban?). It looks like he is a VERY active player.
We had fakers before (e.g. Phrenic, Marvel) and even now Faustov was faking as Hooraytio - but that's more like LOL than a serious thing :)

I fail to see the justice in here. What's the deal with banning Shamoth and not banning Marvel? It seems like there're really 2nd class citizens in QW-scene. Btw, i'm not allowed to post in QW.nu anymore so I've brag here (and maybe i'm paranoid but seems like THEY also delete my posts on eql-site).
