So far so good

The season is moving forward and more clans have started playing games. Here is a short write up on the season so far.

The overall status of 4on4 is shaping up with 201 maps played during week 10. The upcoming draft league should be able to boost the interest for 4on4 further given that it doesnt take away too much activity from EQL games with their schedueled games on Sunday evenings.

Group A has seen 9 games so far with only 4 teams still at 0 games played.

SSC is leading the group with 3 wins in 4 games but their real test is yet to come as they have faced clans outside of their skill spectrum so far. Their games versus DC, SD2 and probably ABLZ will determine their chances to reach the Gold playoffs.

Slackers is second at the moment with an unexpected map loss versus DM2 specialists DC. They have 8 games left and only C88 will pose any real threat to their number 1 spot in this group. If SD2 play well, like DC in that DM2, they could perhaps steal a map from this teamplay machine.

Demolition Crew resides at the 3rd spot with a nice map win vs Slackers, a controversial 2-1 win versus SD2, since Shamoth was banned later on for faking and a somewhat demotivating 0-2 versus C88. Well done by C88 not to let the Poles steal a map here. DC is another contender for the top3 and their win versus SD2 must be backed up with a win versus SSC along with solid games versus to rest of the clans to make this happen.

Suddendeath2 on 4th spot havent been tested versus the hardest 2 opponents yet (SR C88) but their 1-2 loss versus DC can turn out to be the crucial mishap that put them outside of the Gold playoffs. They have handed in a protest to the admins because of Shamoth played and was later banned. A decision will be made shortly.

Outside of the top 4 we have seen Paras take on 3 of the harder opponents losing 6 straight maps to SR, SSC and SD2. Things can only go better from here and they still have a shot at reaching the silver playoffs since their main competitors are likely to lose versus these 3 opponents as well.

Other than that I hope to see some more action from the remaining 7 clans soon!


Group B stand at 7 games played and also have 4 teams with 0 games played.

Chosen are in the lead with 3 straight 2-0 games. Amongst these they took a very important win vs Too Cute wich can become very important in the race for the top 3 positions. They will need wins versus FU and D&N to make sure they stay in top 3 coupled with a minimum of mistakes versus the rest of the teams. The games versus SD and Paramedics will turn out difficult since the pracs between CSN and SD have been mostly one sided and Paramedics have a really good, but inactive, lineup.

Suddendeath are in 2nd place with easy wins versus Machinery and SmackThatAss. Their most important game is yet to come, versus Paramedics, and this game will decide if they will skip ahead to Gold playoff semifinals or if they will have to meet 3rd placed team from Group A in a thrilling quarterfinal first. They will need to be on the lookout versus Chosen and Too Cute since these teams are dangerous and could perhaps steal a map versus an unmotivated SD.

Too Cute are in 3rd spot with 1 win and 1 loss. Their chances at a top 3 position are meagre since they lost to CSN and they will have to rely on a very solid season from now and a few mistakes by CSN here and there to be able to get back in the Gold playoff competition.

SmackThatAss currently hold down the 4th spot but after a 1-2 loss versus Spaceballs their hopes of reaching Silver playoffs might have gone down the drain. They still have most of the Silver playoff contenders left to face and to be honest clans like FU, Machinery, D&N and Too Cute feel alot stronger than these comebacking germans. However, they play like a team and their individual and team skills are good enough to take them far in the Bronze playoffs.

The other 8 clans are still at 0 or 1 games but I must mention the lineup At My Friends Wedding has gathered. From the start they had En_karl who alone atleast could give the weaker clans something to think about. Now they have old timers Circle and Darklord. Noone knows how good they are at the moment or how good they will become during the season but if these 3 guys play they could do some real damage in the Silver playoffs in my opinion.
