Division 2 2nd Update

And here is a report from Division 2.

Division 2 update

The clans of Division 2 have played seven games since my last update and all clans except two have at least one game played. Six clans have actually three or more games so things are really looking brighter than before. Let’s hope that this last week will bring us a few more games to really settle the table before the playoffs begin.

Lost Legion has played three games winning all of them 2-0. Froggers turned out to be a little too weak as LL firmly showed them how QW 4on4 is played. Next up was Tactical and Powerful Amigos who also got outscored with a large margin. However, TPA didn’t exactly have their strongest lineup and I am sure they can do a lot better. In the game against Division 99 LL won comfortably on DM2 but on E1M2 D99 came a lot closer than the previous mentioned clans did. In the end Gore turned out to be a real monster as he quadded his way around the map with great support from the others. LL will be one of the top clans but if Paras get more games played LL will have to surrender the no 1 spot since they lost 1-2 to Paras earlier in the season.

Speaking of Division 99, they have also been active with three games played losing 0-2 to LL and Paras while winning against TPA. In the game versus Paras they never had a chance as Paras sported a really tough lineup featuring Junkass and Feari but versus TPA came their second 2-0 win of the season which established D99 as a mid division team in division 2. They will most likely end up in 4th place avoiding the tougher opponents like LL, Paras and PewPew in the quarterfinals.

Paras are looking really strong with nice 2-0 wins versus other top clans in the division. D99 didn’t get much done versus this strong team from Finland and neither did PewPew. Paras are a little on the slow side getting games played and they really need to squeeze in more games during this last week if they want to challenge LL for the top spot. It can turn out to be important if they want to avoid a really tough opponent already in the semifinal. Also clans 1-2 will face Froggers and Danube/Mofo with at least the game versus Danube/Mofo will result in a free pass to the semis.

Pew Pew Blaster is also one of the better teams in division 2 even though they hit a mine in the game against Paras where they lost 0-2. In their other game during this stretch they beat FNU quite convincingly, scoring close to 400 frags on DM2. PP will probably end up third facing FNU or TPA in the quarter finals, a game that should turn out easy for PP. If they meet FNU they will have to be careful with Adde though since he is really good.

Tactical and Powerful Amigos are having a rough time so far with another two 0-2 losses. I hope they get around to play FNU and Froggers since these games should turn out to be a little more interesting for them while also sorting out the division placements at the lower end of the table. My bet is that TPA will be able to secure 5th spot and a game versus D99 in the quarterfinals.

FNU have lost another game 0-2 during this period. Not having Adde in the lineup made them an easy target for PP and their hopes of ending up 5th with a quarterfinal against D99 depends on how much they play and how well they do versus TPA and Froggers. The game against Paras will most likely turn out to be very tough for them.

Mob of Oddballs are still trying to play but there is little hope of them playing more than 2-3 games. I have no clue how good they are but it would be nice if they got around to play some so that the number 1 clan don’t have to report a WO in their quarterfinal.

Clan Danube has sadly quit playing.
