We dont have new players becouse for many years, still play in this tb3. Maybe if we add for this tb more maps (+1 for 1y. Look in forum, we have many greats peaple the creative wonderful maps) then this game, would make it more interesting for other :) (next my opinion).

Short answer: while I believe new maps can be fun I dont think the reason for us losing players or not getting new players is because we dont play new maps.

1. We have actually played new maps both in NQR and EQL and the player base still declined.
2. The most exciting and remembered finals was played on TB3.

hoora if u wanna still watching, the next 10 years, how milton/xantom kick ass mc'donald in dm3 (they play the same tactics, but dm3 is great map), then ok :)

This is a game := fun :) sometimes we more empathy in this game, but this is a game. After two years of break, I check what's going on #qw.nu and i still see the same thing. "kurwa xD"

This is my opinion, and only opinion. I like qw not for tb3 but for people :) this is the most hermetic scene "e-sports" ever seen :)

I'm the first to vote for new maps always. I get bored playing tb3 constantly. However I think Hooraytio is right about this + there is also a big pool of players that simply does not want to play any other map than tb3. It's a shame yes but for a "big" tournament it seems tb3 is the only logical choice.

Ps - d99 will be there! But you allready knew this =)

Yes, QW is an esport and I actually enjoy seeing good players perform on well known fighting grounds.

We dont get so many new players because there are hundreds of other games, even other stuff like consoles and their games, that are far more fun to kids and teens than QW is. I dont know about adults but I guess it would be hard for any game to get an adult with no prior experience of gaming to start playing it. Not playing new maps is such a microscopic part of the problem of not getting new players that it isnt even worth mentioning.

We also lose players because of their life situations and their maturity into adulthood and all that comes with that.

Nothing is new about TB3 and thats the point. QW is mostly TB3 when it comes to 4on4 and players are used to that. No, we dont play NQR anymore but my point was that we played other maps in both NQR and EQL and they didnt really play such a big part of the success of the leagues or the fact that players stayed or quit.

And this is important why? Ofc it is important what games ppl remember tha most. That is what has built our history and legend and also what is the foundation of what little scene we have left.

Playing different maps isn't suddenly going to increase the playerbase. Nothing is actually, yes we still love playing qw (for the old players it was probably the first big multiplayer game, I know it was for me) there's just soooooooo much choice now compared to the late nineties for "new" players. I mean what other games that came out in 1996 do people still play regularly?

I want to play :E Just too bad I'm too lazy to organise proper internet. QW on 4G through my mobile gives good ping, but the PL is a bit of a killer :E
