Just wanted to thank all clans and players for the activity this season. 13 active clans, 72 games played and only 6 games WO/Voided (not counting DC/WG) is pretty damn good.

I hope to see the same dedication during the playoffs.

I know you don't want to make different divs if we aren't enough, but what about two or several groups ?

The idea to get the maximum matches possible is attracting at first, but in the end it can become tiresome and it's easy to become discouraged by the missed schedules or the numerous rape games.

The construction I have in mind is close to what you did right. Make two groups with as even skill distribution as possible, then you make brackets for the different ranks. For two groups, the four lasts play in a "looser" bracket and the top teams go in a "winner" bracket.

It could reduce the WO and has, at least, the advantage of having the final played two times. Or maybe people want to see more spectacle? :D

Anyway, thanks for your effort!

Im not sure i follow exactly. Are you talking about next season now? It sounds like you are describing what I did in EQL15, go check it out.

Interesting playoffs. Good luck all!

Of course I'm talking about an hypothetical future edition and yes, it's exactly what I was describing. The system kind of corresponds to what you did this season as well.

Although, I would have divided the groups even further. My main issue being the number of matches to play, fourteen this season, which can be a bit discouraging (the word may be a bit too strong).

FU mainly played all EQL matches on sundays. 1-2 games usually. We tried to get them rolling during the workdays as well but only got 1-2 games played outside of supersundays.

I know it's rather hard to get a team to play against sometimes when you have four players ready by your own.

IMO it's more about your own activity, and a bit of luck what comes to your opponents activity, but I don't find the number of the games a real issue here.

GG's for everyone, and let's focus on the playoffs now!

I havent done the math compared to other seasons but 72 games played and 6 games WO/voided must almost be some kind of EQL record for completed games %.

I liked the EQL15 system but with that low activity we saw that time im not sure the players liked it.
#8 cara - 2015-11-26 16:50 (213.112.22.XXX)
I found this system to be far better than the EQL15 one. Even though most games these season were very uninteresting we kept our spirits high waiting for the exciting games to come. Nothing is more demotivating than playing a team twice where the result is already clear.

I agree that it mostly comes down to your own activity in the clan and I would take it one step further, the motivation.
#9 Hooraytio - 2015-11-26 18:42 (90.231.191.XXX)
Yes many games had a very clear outcome beforehand but it seems that it didnt stop the clans from actually playing the games wich was nice
#10 Erlend - 2015-11-30 00:31 (90.149.235.XXX)
It comes down to motivation. As a D99er I know what is to come. So the goal isn't to win against Cara, Milton & Co, just to see some improvement, personal and as a team.
