After some WOs and some games played we actually have the finalists ready:

(Also includes a BAN from EQL in the text)

The next round (final round) should be played until sunday/monday-night 04:00!!! So go schedule your games NOW!

Division 1:

The BAN:

This time the ban goes to who else than Lion. After putting up slideshows on eql-pages and .qw/.spam on bots we have decided to ban the following player (lion) from EQL. The amount of time this ban will be valid for is still under investigation. Also spamming these messags over irc with a nickname that could be misread as another players nick wasn't tasteful either.

funny how admins dont ban clans for forming a boycott when in my eyes its a form of bullying and has a negative impact on qw.

but last real uk clan bites the dust so the majority will support that. i will not take part anymore this season so could u remove me please? might enable the final to be played also but i strongly doubt it.

It's hard for anybody else to see the humour at this point, and after struggling like hell with all the problems to find humour in that, feels like you don't appriciate our work, even if we spended several hours/days to try to get games fixed for you, Lion stepped over the line and now he is punished. That was also meant as an inslut in our eyes and we probably have most of the scene backing up this, even checking the writings earlier on the posts.
I don't personally have anything against some drama as long as it doesn't include tasteless behaviour and breaking the rules.

No rules broken = read the rules. I can count 3 warnings included in that so it shouldn't be a surprise if the result in a ban.

you didnt even put our points up in the leauge for the w/o\'s we supposedly got

the people that should be banned are MM and HIPS for plotting a boycott... marvel post the link of their conversation here so people can see how lame they are

This EQL sucked alot in the rookiediv. One 4on4 did we played and won the hole shit. I really hope you don't start a new league under some summer.

Well the point was that there would be something more than "nothing". 1 game is more than nothing afaik. We knew there wount be much activity but the summerbreak would have been longer than ever since NQR ended quite early in the spring. The problem with the 5.5 was that there wasn't anyways enough teams active on the scene, and those who had signupped didn't even play their games. Don't blame the organizer if the players don't play.
There will probably be new tournaments every summer, just as there had been so far :) (not maybe eql but some other)

Imo the worst thing with this season was that most clan just seemed to wait for their opponent to come and set a date, will not happend if every clan thinks that way.

1tsinen its impossible to make everybody happy but you are missing the point that boycotting a team should be much more severly punished then what has been. on looking at the league they havent even had any points deducted (DA, HIPS, MM etc) and to be honest EQL playoffs have never really been the climax of the season (promotions relegations etc already decided during the actual season)

bst were boycotted last eql by loser squadren too.. which cost us top spot for div2 and we wasnt even given a w.o even though ls had played all the other teams in our league..

you should at least be consistant to your rules and not just go with the flow. thats why eql has failed so many times.

As a spectator of all this, and the given facts (?), the boycott might have been accepted from a morality point of view.

Looking at it the other way, it\'s probably against the rules yes.

Well said. All I ever see is Wargamez,Wargamez,Wargamez... boooooooring. Even a QW server on the same host as this very site would be a lot nicer. 34ms ftw

What do you mean boycott? We played you once already. Also I'm pretty sure that no one is boycotting against all of dogs, just marvel, lion (atleast now) and/or batfink. As for me, I don't mind having to play against people who are annoying, but obviously some people are ticked off more easily than me and I'm certainly not going to start blaming them for that.

if thats the best you can come up with then you may as well stop digging your hole now.. you only played us in a 2v2 game.. no 4v4 at all.. i dont even see what i or anyone else has done to warrent this boycott anyway.

not playing some team because some of the members are annoying... that aint the reason the reason is you didnt want to play us and lose to people you dont like.. pretty obvious in my opinion

First off all, I'm not going "with the flow". 2nd thing is that I can't make almost any changes on the pages, so the points that are deducted and the wo:s aren't showing since I can't edit those points and I cannot report a match for your team (afaik).
Yes and I am feeling the same way about the boycott, but what's the score if we punish all clans or kick them out except yours = it's the same as it is now. Don't think I haven't been thinking of how to get it to work. Some hid the boycot behind the aimbotter thing and some just because of hating Marvel I assume, haven't still got any exact answers so hard to do really nothing when all you get is: "they are boycotting us" or from the other side: "we hate them they are aimbotting ffa". There's another problem with punishing the clans also -> all guys aren't in the boycot. Some clans did actually have enough players to field a team to play you guys, but seemed like you somehow pissed the last ones off and I can't do much about that if this was the case...

And just as info, there has been no promotions etc this season. This league was started since we did think players wouldn't like a close to 5 month long summerbreak... just seems we were wrong about that (counted from regular season ending in NQR).

One more thing worth mentioning: What is similar with the old EQL atm? Not really much except pages, divisions and that we had kenyas also played.

JFYI this season was also a test for some new systems and ideas. Some where great and some not too great. Atleast we got some answers to them now.

we didnt piss any clans off who had 4 to play us at all (didnt even get to the server so how could we) da played 2v2 then decided not to play 4v4, so marvel called them idiots and that has then been the reason they didnt play us... but they already decided not to so how can it be..

yeah ok fair enough about the other comments and for a summer league it was more active (for the most part) then the other eql was

Its irrelevant who the team is, what league it is, who the admins are, what the game is..

There are little pricks who just thrive on pissing people off and generally being little pricks.. they will always be this way, no matter how many times they leave and come back or try to 'reform' their image..

The players who defend them are worse, I mean come on, wanna tell me a team with Embeh, Goqsane and Marvel would be perfectly well behaved and cause absolutely no trouble at all in the next league? Stop defending them, just get rid of them, everyone is better off.

I read all this and think, what has marvel ever done? The only offensive and annoying person in qw atm that I know of would be goqsane.
Enlighten me of the misbehaviour of marvel please? calling someone an idiot does not count in my bank, which is all I\'ve heard so far..
And I give cred to the EQL-admins for putting up with all the whine from players who still keep coming back to their league and whine season after season!

i thank the admins too because they have kept this tourney flowing. i still dont agree with my mates ban because its art rather than breaking the rules and sadly the message is real. im absolutely astonished that teams refuse to play us because of me! anyway as stated before i wont take part anymore so hopefully there will be no problems getting this final played. still unaware of the big impact ive made but i dont care anymore i wont participate in the future.

marvel was my mate in defs, he and batfink were our top players. but he wouldnt stop acting lame and one day Konk kicked them from the can in a unanimous decision.

it was just a matter of time until a "real" consequence was taken.
