After 30 min of delay and trying out different russian servers which all had pl and high ping, we ended up on Conus in Sweden where the russians had (38, 51, 51, 51). XN started pinging himself up to 51 and B1aze then claimed there was a rule that we then had to use the same ping, as the guy with the lowest ping in their team, which of course now was 51. We had been waiting for 30 min and had enough of this bullshit and were also in a hurry, so we agreed to it, despite the fact that none of us had played with 51 ping for a couple of years.

I'm quite sure this was the difference between a victory and a loss in this game and it's sad to see ping whine being back, but beware other clans. Now that the St Petersburg server which normally gave scandinavias great ping (I had 25 there) has started to lag this is the shit you will have to put up with. Better start praccing with 51 ms if you want to beat 3b!

The rules say: The value for the minping must not be higher than the lowest pinging player in the highest pinging team, unless both teams agree otherwise.

We will investigate this.

But i agree if 3b pinged up to 51 which they did obviosly, because they have 38 there normally its kinda lame.

Fog. We did copy that from the rules but when we did that they started whining about going to another server which gave us all slightly better ping plus 1-3 pl for swe players (XN having 71-91 ping and gor 13-26)... And then they wanted to ping up there to even pings despite our packet loss. By that time we have had enough and agreed to ping up to 51 ping @ conus as hagge said.

I liked hagges comment about the .pl players starting to get the fact that they have sucky internet connections. Instead they're owning with slightly higher ping. When will russia get those facts?

Real boring games imho. And it would've been just as BORING - EVEN if we had won. Suck on that!

plz i had to play with 150ms for 3-4 years while others already had cable/isdn

you missed my point murdoc.. it's not about what ping you have, but about what ping you are USED to play with.. I also had isdn for a really long time when everybody else was lpb, but it was fine since I was used to it.. something I'm not anymore!

i agree its lame to ping up to a higher ping to force the other team to play on that ping.. althou if he had 38 u would only have one guy with 38 anyway? :) it
doesnt take long to get used to 51.. if u have ever played with high pings before. just a couple of games and you are into it..

exactly :) I'm definately more used to it now, than I was before the game, but it doesn't help me now :) if I only knew it was gonna be a hpw game I would've pracced some with 51 ms, but now I didn't since the russians have been running around with 38 ms on eq for quite some time, but somehow their qizmo died...... and the st petersburg server which is usually good was down.. time for you other guys to start praccing with 51 ms if you don't wanna have the suckiest aim ever :)
