Bloodpunch kicked from EQL9

The division 3 team, Bloodpunch played their Quarter-final game vs Comfortably Numb yesterday. In that match the team used a player named PICKE89.

Even before the game had started, the player was under suspicion for not being the player approved for Bloodpunch.

Read on for the full statement

After investigating in the matter, we can now confirm that the player playing as PICKE89 in yesterdays game, was indeed not the PICKE signed up for Bloodpunch.

This means that Bloodpunch will be kicked for breaking the mercing rule.
-"Playing in more than one team, or playing under someone else's name in another team (mercing)"

As the investigation have shown that only one person within the Bloodpunch team knew about the player not being PICKE, we have decided not to punish other members of the team.

The players known in the scene as Stickman and Phrenic, will each be excluded for participating in EQL until halfway through next season.

This also means that Comfortably Numb will go on to the semi-finals.

For those who think about the "only half season"-thing, btw, it's summerbreak here inbetween, so the ban ain't 3-4 months like a normal season is, it's more like 6 months in reality :F

itsi: yeah, but what is the point of supposedly starting a ban during a period where there is no league? for all intents and purposes it's a half season ban, which is a terribly weak punishment. It's hardly a slap on the wrist considering what a lame stunt it is faking in a low div playoff game.

lib, if it would be longer then we could be sure that the players wount come back in any form to the qw-scene, and that is not either what we want. But I guess it depends how you view this thing. I understand your point but some people doesn't even want to give a ban so I guess this is something inbetween.

JohNNy put it succinctly. These kind of retards are not an asset to any sort of scene so who cares if they stop? How can "yeah well maybe I won't play anymore" be a leverage-giving response to a suspension?
(and the fact that this response hasn't even been made by the fakers themselves but rather been made for them by the admins is even more puzzling)

lib, just keep on reading and thinking it like you want to, but try to open your eyes and take other things in consideration which you as a qw spec don't normally need to :).
And atm the ban is ~6 months, which would be somewhat the same as if a faker would break the rules in september when the summerbreaks usually ends.

how does it feel for a newly formed clan in a low div to get it's ass kicked because the other clan is using a high-div oldschool player that is faking as a noob? ... does sound pretty damn frustrating to me.

how about taking that into consideration?

admins' job to do something about it or clueless spectators talk? you decide.
