Division 3 report: Week one

Division 3 - Weekly Report

So, the first week of EQL2 has passed and we have seen
some interesting games. I think it is going to be one
hell of a season in division three. Now, I guess most
of you already know it, but joulukuu has turned down
Hippushnik, and made his way back to division three
in clan metally troopers. This means CMT got back their
starplayer from last season. CMT is going to be a
very tough opponent with joulukuu and jenna15 in
the team. Mipa sure has some tricks in his sleve
and I believe he has his and his teams eyes
directly at the top of the division.

I'm realy excited to see cmt make some gibbs
with their strong lineup, so, let the games begin!

*** Note: Be sure to read the third game AND how the admins
fucked up their own rules. GG! ***

There was five games played this week, and here is a summary
of all of the games:

First game:

First off was shadow minions versus Team Freedom.
Freedom won DM3, without any trouble, clive(znappe)
starplayed and was able to make 70gibbs for his team, and lead them to victory.
It's nice to see Freedom with their oldschool players manage to take one
map vs. sm. Continue the good work boys!

Continuing, next map was DM2 which sm won, thanks to their
starplayer mm, who always smokes pod and calls himself stoned,
in the late hours of mix games on the wargamez servers.
Maybe it's just me, but I cant' recall mm playing for 3-4years ago.
Maybe he changed nick, or I'm just way off the line. Anyhow,
he is one of my favourite players in div3, he has the
skill of a div1player, the tp of a div2player, the
awareness of a div1player, and he just keeps on topfragging
and dodge the discharges of the opponents.
I can't understand how Freedom didn't win dm2 since
I got this nice quote from one of their players:
"dm2 ?r tr?kig, vi vinner ju bara d?r" (c) flintheart
(dm2 sux, all we do is win there)

So the score was tied, and since division three only play
tb3, the decider map was E1M2. It was tight game,
it could have ended up with victory for both
teams, but sm, with mm as usual in the lead,
secured their victory by fragging enemy rls,
taking armors and clearing mega/ga.

Score: Shadow Minions 2 - 1 Team Freedom.



Second Game:

With minping 49, the second game, shadow minions vs. PsychoHaloons Crew
started off with a tight DM2. Although, when the, sorry for
repeating myself over and over, starplayer mm got his hands
on rl it was over. with almost the double frag score as
his runner-up teammate, he won them the map. If I were you,
I would really try and keep mm's hands away from the weapons.

E1M2 ended up with mm in the top aswell, I don't have a clue
how he does it, but he does it. SM won e1m2 and got three
points for it. mm really is hot, so watch out for him!

Third Game:


clan metally troopers vs. Team Freedom was the third game this season in div3.
This game was realy good, I didn't spec it, but I can tell from the
screenshots and the people talking about it that it was GOOD.
It begun with DM3, where it was tight, but Freedom pulled out
the victory thanks to clive, who seems to be their starplayer.

Second map was DM2, and it sure was tight, when it was 2.5minutes
left of the map, Freedom was in the lead with 26frags. CMT
took over the map, and Freedom started slowspawning, and hiding.
But Jenna15, our nasty and hiv-whore sniffed their penises
and were able to get frags, and cmt won with six frags.
I would like to quote flintheart again:
"dm2 ?r tr?kig, vi vinner ju bara d?r" (c) flintheart
(dm2 sux, all we do is win there) well yes, we can see that.

Now, when I was writing this report, I noticed that they played DM3 twice.
And I've seen you already noticed it, since you brought it up in the games comment.
Anyhow, I smelled something 'wrong' about this, because there should've been third map
as a decider. And I found this line in the rules.
"If a decider is needed and the first two maps wasn't the same, the third map will be the map that hasn't been played."
But now, there was no third map played. How come they played DM3 again?
And WHY the hell did the admins confirm the game when it broke the rules?
I checked it up with c and znappe in Team Freedom, and they tell me that
they said they didn't want to play E1M2, and cmt accepted that. So they
played DM3 again.

Team Freedom tells me they thinking of demanding a rematch. I mean, ofcourse
we all break the rules sometimes. But This is rather the admins fault to accept
this. This is h!o!t drama and I'm just dying to see where this is going.
(I can translate this for those who wants, but come see me in #triada)

We'll have to see where this is going.

But in NQR5, 4k and eq even agreed on playing e2m2, and that wasn't allowed in
the playoffs. Maybe even EQL rules are made to be broken? I think they should
change the rules, and make the players decide which map is going to be played
for decider, afterall, it's the teams that plays the maps, I think they should
have the freedom to pick maps from the map pool as decider.

The second DM3 cmt won, with eleven frags.

Fourth game:

Brutality vs. Compot.
Brutality is a new dutch team, and they seem to handle things
quite well. they won DM3 quite easy. Compot is also a new team,
a russian one, they seem to know how to play quake, but
there was lack of teamplay. I hope they manage to get some tp
and show us some real nice games.

Second map, DM2, Brutality got first quad, but oase brutality bored. Brutality managed to keep control over tele after oase brutaly took second quad, and kept it that way. Purity managed to get the last quad, got
nine frags and he got 101 frags total!
Brutality brutaly owned Compot on dm2. Way to go both teams,
ggs!

Score: Brutality 2 - 0 Compot



Fifth Game:

The last game played this week was Apocalypse 2006 vs. Ax3.
There was no Hagge here, sadly, but one of their new h!o!t
players showed up a great fight, namely springs. They
played well on DM2, and won, with tGM in the top.

The second map was DM3, and here springs realy
showed his skills. He jumped, he dived, he ran,
he died, he fell, he got armors but mostly he just got frags.
It would be awesome to see Hagge AND springs playing
at the same time. Though Hagge is quite inactive, I think
they can get him to play some more. Ax3 is good, spokz
can sure manouver his team as he wants, but it wasn't enough
this time.

Score: Apocalypse 2006 2 - 0 Ax3.

This is my first report, I would like to get some replies on it, what I can do better, worse etc.

what c said basically was:

- here we go, now i know.
- write that we are considering later in the season
- if we gonna state a protest when we know if it's needed
- to have those points to win div 3

oh, just forgott, mm is = pmen from NetQuake's Lost Angels (one of the best NQ clans from 99->01 and he moved on to Q3 and was very good there aswell with the nickname Pmen!

So first you ask to play dm3 instead of e1m2 and the other team, being good sports, accept this. Then you somehow have the cheek to PROTEST about playing the map you asked for yourselves? gg freedom i guess...

Yep.. we agree to play the map you already won and then you start bitching about it when you lose? znappe maybe you should just accept the defeat and move on? sure you can protest all you want but there won't be any rematch.

my point is more going to the admins for letting this happen. It's ZZZZzzZzZ to confirm a game which strictly breaks the rules. Either they didn't care, or they didn't know.

We are looking into this and we will see if a rematch are to be played or not. What I've heard from my client (freedom) they state that they DID NOT wanted to play dm3 as a decider.
