Div 2 getting active.

2006-01-09 13:45 by Horatio

Today i bring you the latest hot action from div2 with some of the top teams involved.

First out are Satanic Slaughter Clan vs Oblivion. This game, like sscs first one vs triada, also went to three maps with ssc winning dm3 again. However oblivion where too strong on e1m2 and cmt4. I didn?t expect ssc to win this game and it was strong of them to keep it together long enough too score a mapwin to get the one pointer. On the other half of the field oblivion showed that they are the team to beat this season with an all over strong game on dm2/cmt4, allthough they should be somewhat disappointed not to get a three pointer out if this game.

The second game featured two more clans from the expected upper half of the division as we saw Jokkmokk take on Hehe Holkeri H?visitk? Voittos?. The lack of prac and not having their best lineup made HHHV a quite easy target for the well trained and strong team of jmk as they where taken down 2-0 on dm3 and dm2. As expected their composition of 4 strong players without a clear starplayer made jmk a frightening force for HHHV.

In the third game oblivion made short work of el?intarha for another win this season. Only this time they didnt settle for two points. On e1m2 the mighty mutilator once again denied the oppnonents the win and on cmt3 it was a little closer but zoo don?t seem to have scared o too much on that map either. Thus ending the game 2-0 and getting three points to add to their previous two.

The fourth game was a bit of a surprise as fragunit took down triada 2-0 on dm2 and e1m2. Triada never got close enough to make it into a three mapper. Oho seems to have faired well in his move from div5 to div2 and made a descent amount of frags. On the other hand triada couldnt keep up the steam from their previous win and thus getting left behind with zero points after this game.

Finally we saw o once again in their match versus suddendeath2. These two teams are on my top3 for this division and i expected a close game betwen them. They didnt disappoint me at all when they started out on dm3 with a mere two frag win for sd2. This offcourse set the pace for the upcoming maps and the next one ended in a nice +40 frags for oblivion on e1m2.
Finally cmt3 was to be played. O didnt make many mistakes and ending also this map with a tightish +40 frag lead. Allthough sd2 did a nice performance i think they didnt have their strongest line for this game and i am now sure of my predictions of both oblivion and sd2 ending top3 for this season.

More news will be avaliable as the games passes by.

#3 2006-01-09 14:00 by Hooraytio

sorry, am a little tired, thnx for correcting me.

#4 2006-01-09 14:33 by dje

actually, you didnt predict us top3 (it was above average until today) so lol on changing that after the 3 first games. and we didnt play dm2 vs ssc. but gg otherwise :)

#5 2006-01-09 14:42 by Hooraytio

i changed it before you played any games...

#6 2006-01-09 14:55 by dje

ok then, just checked when you wrote them the first time. :)

#7 2006-01-09 15:03 by Hooraytio

np, i know it may have looked somewhat suspicuos to change it, but its true that i did it before any games where played. :)

#8 2006-01-09 15:06 by nakoz

not a word about nakoz berzerk on cmt3 vs sd, giving oblivion an important win!?!?!? ;)))
mutilator this and mutilator that, pfff! ;)

#9 2006-01-09 15:09 by nakoz

and btw, what is sd2's strongest lineup? votary was speccing, atleast dm3, but sd2 chosed to play with trashie instead... and not mentioning oblivions strongest lineup? starplayer/keyplayer fnosk wasn't playing, resulting probably in the reson we lost dm3 twice with <10 fragz :/

#10 2006-01-09 15:19 by Hooraytio

i think sd2 suffered more from not having votary, whatever the reason was for not playing him.

Oblivion have somewhat more players that are equally good for their 3rd and 4th guy

I am getting more up to speed with the teams and players as the games go by so bare with me, this is only my first time ever comenting on games in this manner. So i am truly sorry if I fuck up and i am thankful for all the comments i can get from you guys. So keep commenting on what i write and ill do better for each time i hope. ;)

#18 2006-01-10 01:01 by sassa

its not a matter of the best lineup of sd2, its more of the perfect timing for sd2!

They go up and down, somedays they beat the shit out of us, the next day they loose vs osams, its just a matter of stability they need... its not about their players!

I hope we wont meet sd2 when they have a good day, then they are unstoppable.

#19 2006-01-10 01:19 by dje

is that the day they call "skottdagen" sassa?

#20 2006-01-10 02:14 by sassa

skottdagen = 29 feb?

#21 2006-01-10 09:33 by Hooraytio

haha, once every fourth year! \o/

gg dje

#22 2006-01-10 12:02 by dje

thx for clearing that up hooraytio :)

#23 2006-01-10 17:45 by gaz

What's wrong with losing to Osams?

Oh, and it's LOSE, not LOOSE.

"Loose" translates to "l?s", e.g. en l?s tand.

:P

#24 2006-01-10 19:10 by nakoz

lol gaz ;)
