As most of you may have noticed, there was some fuzz going on after the match FREE vs NNM in division 3. The word from spectators was that Ilf had a superior SG aim, hitting at least 50% on his 39ms against Freedom. Several people have now taken a look at these demos and 99% of them have come to the same conclusion - he's using an aimbot. If you want to read up on this issue and get some kind of analyzis then there is a forum post made by Def that points out several odd things within this demo.

Obviously, this abuse of the system and lack of respect towards the other players can not be tolerated. To make this real clear, the administrators of the European Quake League has decided to take the following actions:

1. Ilf will receive a ban that lasts over the remaining EQL2 and the upcoming EQL3.
2. NNM has a 1-2 loss against CMT which will get changed to a 0-2 loss.

We hope that the rest of the community shares our opinion on this matter and that you will take both actions and precautions against this behaviour in the future. This may seem like a minor issue to some of you, but consider that he won against several top players in the povdmm4 tourney in Russia some months ago without anyone noticing. Keep your eyes open and make QW as pure as possible again, this shit doesn't belong in the Quakeworld community.

Am I the only one that thinks a 2 season ban is just a tad lenient for cheating, ie the sheer lack of respect for everyone else? Personally a lifetime ban would have been more sufficient, although granted, ilf will probably just alias for someone else in future.

Unlikely he'll cheat again (even if he does play). Everyone will be looking out for this kinda thing now, especially from Russians (unfortunately :() and since it's kinda obvious to spot then I don't think he'd even complete a map without someone calling for break.

It's sad that one player seems to veil whole russian scene in the suspicion of cheating. 99% of Russians are pure and genuine non-cheating Quakers, maybe there is something that .ru scene can do by not taking Ilf to any of their clans. Yes, he might try to create himself new alias but I think that .ru-scene is so small and solid that most ppl will "smell" if Ilf ever tries to join their clan :<

It's not 100% evidence. The latter can be some random error (also, mvd is packed demo,

Watch the demos at 10% speed and you'll notice that there's something fishy with his aim. Don't forget to compare it to other players at the same demospeed too. The povdmm4 demos are good examples.

demo_setspeed 10 tells the truth, there's no denying it. It's an aimbot. Why hasn't Ilf spoken for himself about his amazing aiming sk1llz (not including rl)? Sad but true. QW has still some cheaters around. No one suspected this because we all thought that the scene was Just For Fun. And we all know that qw is still the most sk1ll demanding game there is. I just hope that this will be the last time we see this kind of action. I'm so wasted but I just had to comment on this issue. QW is so great game and I don't want to see it ruined by cheaters. QW is a respected game along the other gamers and the all know that this scene has some great skills which are about to be released on some new game which offers the same pace that qw does. And they all fear us. This incidence brings us down when this reaches the great masses. It's sad but it's true. Ilf I hope u will be banned from the scene for ever and u never return Ilf.

This is silly, spec any part of the e1m2 versus freedom at 25% demo speed. In most 1on1 sg fights Ilf's crosshair follow the char he is aiming for without deviating from it. Now imagine that sequenze with a LG instead of a SG and you might see the impossible nature of this aim.

The SG percentage isn't the only thing looked at. Try to realize that. And at 17:35 on DM3 you can clearly see some wicked shit from Ilf's pov when the shaft all of a sudden jumps from the stairs straight onto Clive and stays there like a fucking tick and kills him in like a nanosecond.

The close combat fights with SG is quite a laugh too considering his super low sensitivity.

ilf has in some times lower sens on shaft then on other weapons and play with accel, so it's not strange to have so good prediction shooting - it's only practice, imho.

i got 2 of his cfgs
one is uploaded to qw.ru cfg section ( been told its old one )

and second one ive got from witka, few days ago, he said it was new one, sense there is almost same as mine, bit lower, mine is 2.2 spins on mat (not that low huh?)

dunno, think its just bullshit bout ilf low lg sens, just cuz the only thing that you have low sens on shaft doesnt make your prediction\aim better, maby overall lg accuracy increases, but doesnt help to track model of enemy with like 98% accuracy at all times

Ilf is such a nice guy, we drank vodka, at lans he never cheated etc... ALL these points are so stupid really :)

This struggle cant be solved tbh, he can just goto the admins play some 4on4 or duel orso, and if his aim isn?t even near to that in the demos after all f_ checks its clear that he cheated. BUT of course he wont do that, he wont be that stupid. :)
And if he should really have an aim like div0 in these games, ppl will think that he has some undetectable cheats.

The only way was that he admitted it, but that wont happen either. :)
