great sportsmanship by tvs when they sg down and kill angua while he is timing with ra, mega and rl! also nice to see that the ping was fair! gg tvs

#2 2006-02-12 22:54 by gaz (84.12.26.XXX)

tvs doesn't "give a flying fuck about sportsmanship".

#3 2006-02-12 22:59 by daizuki (130.235.168.XXX)

gaz: is that an actual quote? if so, please ignore my last post and just consider tvs sad

#4 2006-02-12 23:06 by Hagge (83.233.145.XXX)

pings seems to be fair to me.. I mean where else should they play the game when there is 7/8 players that are finnish? sg down a timing player however is quite lame, especially when he's loaded.. otherwise it seems like a great game? impressive by tvs taking down a very strong cmfteam.. and yes daizuki.. it's an actual quote.. if he quoted it 100% correctly I don't know, but I think so :) check out the comments from the angua interview and you should find it there somewhere.. demos?

#5 2006-02-12 23:07 by fifi (193.229.162.XXX)

It would have taken a clean sweep for us to have a chance to get into playoffs. Before the game I witnessed a conversation between gaz and sassa..

gaz: blimey, what a game coming up! who do you think will come out on top?

sassa: hehe *snus* if tvs manages to win dm3 and dm2, what map do you think cmf will choose next?

gaz: ok, that's what i thought.

So we begin on dm3 and manage to get the best start with ring and quad. With those I take out the whole
tvs-team and have the map under my control. Then fix telefrags angua and blaze gets his hands on sng and
it's all over. We manage to get a few frags due to hlt's superior rljumps but tvs' win is never in question.

Dm2 has been our bread and butter lately in many pracs and eqlgames, and this time wasn't going to be any
different. Well, not until tvsbrothers found the hidden armor. After that it just felt like it was impossible
to kill them as they had more health than you could ever imagine.

0-2, playoffs are out of reach, angua goes back to army, looks bad? Well, worry not, there is one man we
can call out when all hope seems lost: <img src="http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/7422/sajv4wv.jpg">

"great sportsmanship by tvs when they sg down and kill angua while he is timing"

I'd say that is common practice. In fact in 10 years of qw I don't think I've ever seen a situation where a team would NOT take and advantage out of their opponent's lag spike when the game is already well on it's way.

"also nice to see that the ping was fair"

It was as fair as possible without lame minpinging.

ggs.

gg that blazes quadrun @ dm3 7:15 or something :D. Blaze kills rl-fifi from ya, rl-angua from sng and rl-fix from sng-tele... ill get fix pack and save it to mirage with 200/100. Mirage kills fix with that pack and gets shaft from pack and kills fifi with it and blaze get fifis rl-pack... With that rl blaze kills fix and i get fix rl-pack... nice loop =)

few words from my own:

i agree with blaze, that just doesnt happen..ignoring timing enemy rl..that is..lets just all blame anguas connection instead and we will get off more easily.

hagge: saying that this is a strong cmf team is kinda pointless..you give too much weight for the names than players past performances...tvs has been praccing a lot lately and they have done good...i dont see the outcome as a big suprise..

like ihminen said after the game...better team won..thats pretty much about it :)

ps. damn you sassa if that link thing doesnt work now :)

#14 2006-02-13 01:59 by fix (88.113.196.XXX)

omg, thanks :)

#15 2006-02-13 02:02 by razor (81.226.214.XXX)

hm i dont think thats common practice,
i'd say like half of all players would do it,
I see lots of players that dont do it, and I dont do it :) if i dont have quad/rl/armor and the lagging guy has sg, but thats up for choosing i guess, its no rules against it, but anyway not much point discussing it, lagging days is pretty much over anyway :)

#16 2006-02-13 02:05 by mirage (130.233.21.XXX)

pretty equal amount of frags for everyone on dm2

#17 2006-02-13 02:07 by razor (81.226.214.XXX)

and i also agree with fifi, doesnt really matter cause the better team won anyway

#18 2006-02-13 06:59 by xacha (85.138.70.XXX)

better team may have won, but the coolest team lost :(

#19 2006-02-13 08:18 by Max Rebo (62.181.254.XXX)

Of course you kill a timing opponent.

#20 2006-02-13 10:32 by Hagge (83.233.145.XXX)

well sure what matters is pretty much which shape the players have atm, but on the paper the team you put up looks really dangerous ;f really nice to see hlt playing some again <3

#22 2006-02-13 12:50 by vana (84.231.221.XXX)

Let's give the Viper Squad a win for once so they don`t have to take it so seriously. 10 years of trying without results must be hard

#23 2006-02-13 13:05 by blAze (130.230.1.XXX)

Regardless of the transparent 'careless act', judging from the whine looks like it's someone else who is taking it oh so seriously. Must be hard to be #2 in .fi for so long. ;)

#24 2006-02-13 13:08 by gaz (84.12.26.XXX)

I don't see any CMF whining blaze?

#25 2006-02-13 13:15 by blAze (130.230.1.XXX)

#28 2006-02-13 14:26 by mooniz (194.86.38.XXX)

Well if you are #1 in qw then we gotta atleast conquer #1 title in whining!!

Pretty nice season for our dudes, didnt expect them to play so well with so little prac. Gonna be exciting playoffs anyway.

PS. sorry for the whine blaze, we are just so jealous of you guys ;)

#29 2006-02-13 14:35 by blAze (130.230.1.XXX)

Np mooniz, we understand... :|

#30 2006-02-13 15:36 by Haggis (62.101.203.XXX)

Has tVS won any NQR in previous years? Or any other major tourneys?

Im just curious...

plz :E

#32 2006-02-13 17:05 by Hagge (83.233.145.XXX)

can't recall tvs winning anything Haggis.. however they sure do look like the favourites this season :E

#33 2006-02-13 17:07 by lib (213.100.62.XXX)

MAN i cant belueve i missed this game. bgsj.
oh well, ill go watch them demos now. seems mighty hot

#34 2006-02-13 17:20 by gaz (84.12.26.XXX)

I think FS will take them down :)

#35 2006-02-13 17:54 by mutilator (85.227.135.XXX)

Ofcourse you kill timing opponents. Thats how i get most of my frags. coco4tw!

#36 2006-02-13 22:16 by Hagge (83.233.145.XXX)

if spoink plays and is in shape for playoffs they might yes, but otherwise I doubt it! :(

#37 2006-02-13 22:51 by Haggis (80.202.50.XXX)

I think that if hagge joins a clan, even div5, they will soon dominate everyone and be the moral winners of div1.

#38 2006-02-14 00:00 by Hagge (83.233.145.XXX)

I'm not gonna play qw again until they fix my connection :(

#39 2006-02-14 00:25 by ui (81.234.8.XXX)

Someone please upload the demos to chtv... :(

#40 2006-02-14 08:09 by menth0l (195.163.188.XXX)
