Playoffs!

Some need to knows before starting to play, and some info for as long as we are fixing the playoffs to the pages!

As long as we are working/improving on adding the playoffs to the pages, you will be able to play your 4on4 after reading the following texts. The standings of the regular season will get slight changes (we will try to get it as soon as possible showing on the pages). The most dramatic changes are in Division 2. DA and MM will get points deduction for unsportsmanship behavior (only in 4on4). Dogs will gain WOs from both of these clans. The only other clan to get WO is QK in division 3, it was given against A2k & Free. And now to how the standings looks after the changes and who will play who:

Division 1:
tVS - 3B
]SR[ - Sega

Division 2:
[o] - M.M
Dogs - Hips

Division 3:
QK - A2k
Free - CMT

Division 4:
-1 - Nafi-B
FU - Qns

Division 5.5:
Straight to finals: Mmm... Gibbz
CN - Skylla

The deadline for the following games is: 25th (04:00 26th to be exact). Now start scheduling your games ASAP! Now happy fragging and GL&HF!

I hope that WO for us you mention is in the 2on2-league, doesn\'t make any sense otherwise. If you would have looked at the spams and my privmsgs, you would have seen that I\'ve been trying to schedule games with div3 clans like forever and noone has been able to play (the games we have left)...

Well nobody tells the full story to us and those who tell, do tell very different stories. So how the f*ck can we know what's happening. And if it's something that has happened outside of the league and you take it in to a league then our opinion is to punish. lets not get personal it has no meaning behind the admins decisions. mm and other clans broke the rules by refusing to play dogs like trash said its that simple. more than enough evidence was shown to support this decision. grow up soma and skillah its a computer game, why not play it like one? i hold no grudges but when our clan is excluded i will stand up and thanks again admins for having our backs.

Boycotting DOGS is lame, even though they are lamers. Atleast that's what most say and that's fine with me. I don't know em except for batfink being an ass toward a rookie players when playing a mix game.

I want to thank the eql admins for their work.
I'm not a fan of their rules, but I've quited whining about those silly things.
Obvious problem with this season is an early summer and eurochampionship 2008 which made it a bit of an inactive season.

My short post on the Divisional standings has not changed. Your clan never played any more games.
The standings I merely stated back then are still correct. You never did reply to clarify that were any \'scheduling\' problems in Div 2 or to make a complaint about a clan or even clarify your unfair attack on my post.

As an NQR admin you are always looking for people to help out with the NQR and yet you shoot down someone who has tried to help out in the scene. I put in allot of time in NQR10 in getting the rookie division going and doing predictions as you are well aware and I wasn\'t even an admin. Do you think people will continue to volunteer help in future when you start being so critical.

Now in this new post yourself and skillah have shot down the whole admin team and this league.
Yourself and Skillah say that the EQL \"...is a joke anyway\" and we \"...managed to take incompetence to the next level.\"

Lads I have no problem with constructive and fair criticism however to be quite frank , if it is indeed true that you decided to engage in a secret boycott during the league, then you have completely undermined the league and this is unforgivable and unfair on us.

So whatever dispute there is between yourself and dogs it appears to be outside the scope of the EQL league and perhaps an issue for the QW community in general.

First of all, why are you mad at what we\'ve done? Why is EQL a joke? Why don\'t I understand a shit what you are talking about when telling the story of marvel betraying friends and what has this to do with EQL? As a last thing: Does any of this have to do with the league? If it has not happened in the league, why should we admins do anything different? We are still on nobodys side and the community happenings are different things than those what happends in the league. Just try to get that! (Can you people stop confusing the qwscene/community with EQL, it\'s that simple, they are different things. Afaik Dogs has not broken any rule during regular season except serox playing with bad nickname.)

pleuraXeraphim: Yes you did a great job trying to get the Rookie tier going. Your work with rookies has been great prior to, during, and after NQR11. And you have been thanked greatly by many. But what does that have to do with anything now?

Back to EQL7: The fact that various clans decided to boycott DOGS was never "secret" either, I even talked to Its1nen about it in private a few weeks back.
Secondly, it puzzles me how dozens of grown men deciding to boycott a clan didn't get the EQL admins thinking. Shouldn't it be an indicator that there is something seriously wrong with this clan? After years of those guys (although admittedly there are also 2 or 3 guys in DOGS that aren't complete assholes) of putting up with their childish, condescending bullshit, trying to make their season not fun seemed like a last resort.
We were actually going to play DOGS at the beginning of the season, but they eventually refused to play because they claimed we were using voice communication and that Elguapo, who was speccing at the time, was our spy! There's a point where you ask yourself "why do we bother?!". Shortly after, one of their members signed up at the wiki under a fake name and started sabotaging entries that others have put a lot of work into, adding childish shit like "managed to suck 4 cocks at a time" to players' achievement sections. Simultaneously, the same guy also spent days on end on xs4all ffa, also faking as other players while using aimbot and ruining everyone's fun. Sure you guys might argue that these things aren't directly part of EQL7, but is it really THAT hard to see why we, *the vast majority of div2 players*, don't see why we should contribute to these guys having a "fun season"? Since it's impossible to prevent them from behaving like shit, faking, sabotaging the wiki, using aimbot on xs4all, etc, the most effective way of pointing our middle fingers was to merely not play versus these guys at all.

As admins, one of the things you obviously aim at is to please as many of the remaining QW players as possible, no? Well if 5 out of 6 clans (including Chosen who were removed) decide to go to the lengths of boycotting a clan, you might wanna consider taking different measures than complaining about the "childish clans of div2" and punish 2 out of 4 clans taking part in the boycott. Meanwhile we got some nice drama now, with the guys from DOGS pretending they're saints and telling us to 'grow up', one of them still writing comments using a proxy so nobody can compare his IP to aimbot/wiki issues, and EQL admins wondering "what's wrong" because everything is so logical.

Soma, As an admin I am not taking sides. No interest in it but am beginning to see your frustrations. Allot of this is new to me and Im sure to most of us here.

Just to point out though you obviously decided to ignore the point of my post and indeed Itsinens post. So just to state it again.

[1] You had a go at a post I made on qw.nu which was uncalled for. You still have not replied to that. See my post above.
[2] You rubbished the EQL league and admins completely here for something that is a qw community issue and not an EQL issue. (Skillah included)
[3] No rules were broken by dogs that I am aware of, but in your own clans case, by your own omission unfortunately you did. Thats all we can go on and not opinions. It is outside out my control.

While I empathize with you in what is happening, myself and some of the other admins were never contacted about the boycott the reasons or the issues that were being experienced. All I will say though is that if some one comes on here and has a go at me like you have then I am forced to defend myself.

I think there is an issue here but to lay the blame with us is abit unfair.
Thats all I am saying. To be honest the whole thing sucks. This should have been resolved before now properly perhaps. If roles were reversed you would feel the same.

As for the way forward perhaps a blog entry on qw.nu and get peoples opinions and move forward in getting to the bottom of this for the sake of the community. Anyway thats all I wanted to say but in fairness we are doing our best and I realize you are too.

eql did the right thing, dogs did not refuse to play any clan... and the boycot was not 'public' as you are now saying, you are just trying to get people on your side.

i wanted to be put in division 1 as i knew we would have no problems there, at least in that division people get on with it and dont let their egos grow bigger then their skill levels.

k pleura i thought u were being democratic and offering soma a loophole. there is no way forward, sadly there will always be these grudges and rumours causing conflict between clans. the community is too small and i am feeling more and more distant from it, which recently is definitely having an affect on my clans experience.

i think sq on the other hand has some real lust building up there will better watch ur back ;x

Marvel & Batfink: The evidence is as follows: The IP on the QWwiki and the IP recorded by the FFA server are identical and lead to a karoo connection (lion\'s ISP) in the area where lion actually resides, according to the trace results. Additionally to that, the only two entries the created wiki account edited without actually sabotaging them were \"Thundercats\" and \"DOGS\", both of which lion (aka stu, kid, i8, whatever) actually played for. The entries that WERE sabotaged were of people/clans that lion has historically had beef with (tiddles, buffy, clan jugs, etc). On top of that, lion actually replied to the news post above and felt it was necessary to use an HTTP proxy so nobody can see/compare his IP.
And then you worthless cunts have the guts to come here and claim that people are talking shit and that our accusations are just \"wild speculations\". How about you guys grow a dick and finally take some responsibility, rather than pretending that you\'re saints and \"outsiders\" who people try to isolate even though you\'ve never done anything wrong. karoo is an isp not an ip ie a large group not a finger print. adequate to zero proof and if anything its that krass idiot. ever heard of misdirection.

i dont follow the bot scene but wouldnt that mean modding a client? none of us have the capacity or time to do that or most importantly the motivation.

It's hard to punish a player/team for something that is not 100% sure. Atleast none of the admins has gotten any proof of that actually is 100% (notice 100) sure that it is him. And thanks to my isp that has too crowded upstream I haven't really had a good chance to even get proper info on this, or share it with the rest of the admins as good as needed. But I am still behind the decision that there is not really anything that we've could done, except kick them which would have made EQL a private league (admins choose who gets to play league which qw doesn't have afford to do). And just for your information, I heard nobody else from div2 give the same reason for not playing them... so that's what I have been talking about earlier about not beeing even able to know what has really happened. So as said earlier: We haven't even got the info to do a decision like your asking to, since depending on only 1 persons info is imo not enough (even if the person has been one of the realiable).
