Division 2 predictions - by Elguapo

This season's divison 2 of EQL seeems first of all exciting because of the initial equality between the teams.
It's 7 strong teams, all with the capacity of ending up in the top 3. I'll hereby try to cover each and every of these
7 teams in order to construct somewhat of a ranking.

Antiquad: Always-in-div1-Antiquad now in div2? Wtf? Anyways, this traditional, aina strong finnish team with
starplayers like tuoppi, nussi, and harvester depends very much on their activity. If active, they will for sure end
up top3. Though, Im afraid their activity this season will be very limited and therefore their downfall.

Dies Ater: Hard to judge my own team, but considering last season of NQR, Dies ater have the capacity to bring down
every team in this div when having a good day, fielding strong players. The teamplaying machine Creature in
comination with starplayers like spoinka and persuader makes this team strong. A possible weakness is the quite big
skill gap between some of the players. Thereby, the strength of this team depends in quite great extent on the
current line-up.

No Pasaran!: Probably the strongest team of div2. Sneaky, always very active russians is a deadly threat to each and
every team in this division, and I honestly think that the other teams should be happy if stealing one map versus this
team. 1on1-starplayer xpr, mixmaster gor and B1aze is just some of a very talented bunch of guys.

Oblivion: A team dangerous to count out. like Antiquad, Im sceptical about their activity. At the same team, IF active
there is a lot of potential within this team, fielding players like e1m2-djevulsk and the Lund-boys eta-beta and hagge,
further supported by all very experienced high-div players.

Quakeklan: This mixture between old Jokkmokk (mogge, ted, smala) and fog/rikey is a team that can provide trouble to
every team in this division. They are probably gonna be quite active and according to fog himself, they are gonna
end up in 2nd place. This is indeed, according to me, likely to happend if able to field the strongest team
(according to me the former jokkmokk guys + either fog/rikey).

Sega global: An exciting mixture of kurwa-boys (blasp, billy and pericles) and the core of the old sega team (swi, mm, lw).
On the paper a very strong team, though I know they have not played much together yet and thereby a question mark
may be put after the question of teamplay. However, if they manage to get some decent teamplay going, they may end
up top3.

Suddendeath 2: Also this is a strong team with players like locust, nepra and dahmer. I know they have had some pracs
together and that they have a solid teamplay going. If they have a good day, they can beat every team here. At the
same time, they may on a bad day loose versus every team.


Concluding this, every team can beat every in a very close division 2 that hopefully end up more active than Im afraid
it risks not to. Thereby, this ranking is widely based on how active I think the different teams are gonna be.

1. No-Pasaran!
2. Quakeklan
3. Dies-ater
4. SD2
5. Sega global
6-7. Antiquad/Oblivion

Thus, with NO! as quite clear winners of the div, I think the greatest struggle will be about places 2-5 where
it will be thight between QK,DA,SD2 and Sega. Unfortunately, I guess there is a risk of incactivity in AQ and O,
though I really hope I'll end up wrong. If I do, the tables presented above may turn dramaticly.

Yeah div2 looks really hot! \o/ I agree with most of what has been said by mr elguapo, but I think Quakeclan is a bit too highly placed! Other than that I think most of the predictions are pretty accurate.

I'm gonna make sure we're not gonna end up in the bottom though, since I once again get to play some serious games of 4on4 with eta! Must've been about 4-5 years ago since the last time, and this will make me hungrier for some qw than in a while =) But who knows, I might just as well play one game where I will do the most stupid bore ever and then once again put the shoes on the shelf where they belong Be

I actually think that the biggest thing sd2 is lacking is teamplay at the moment. They have good individual players, but judging from our recent pracs, they still need quite a lot of work to get their tp on par with their individual skills.

this div will only be hot if there are any games played of course. which doesn't seem to be the case atm.

last eql div2 was an utter joke clans got away with refusing to play certain teams.. i hope this season goes better even tho i am not playing in it.
