Well, looking at Stev's frag average compared to marvels (jack) we can easily see that stev is way too good for not only div3 but div2 aswell since last season marvels clan was in div1 (in doors).
Not to mention that an even worse div1 player (diki) wasn't allowed to join div2 it is easy to see that Stev should not be allowed anywhere besides div1. :)

And last season marvel was NOT playing in div1, his team was signed to div1 under much protest, and didn't play a single game there.

And I don't see any problem with stev in div3, given the situation he was in. With some QLIVE players trying to make it in QW, was perfectly fine for him to be "playing coach" on their team in div3.

Back in NQR7 there was a clan called Rabbit Dogs who started in div 5 with a load of Russians, but after winning some games easily they were bumped by the admins (including me) to div 3. That clan consisted of (amongst others) some British guys who suddenly appeared from nowhere and who were pretty skilled (relatively): "rawmeat", "puskin" and "domino". I don't know why it's taken me so long to realize, but those 3 must have been marvel & co...

ye i would say div 3 standard suits me considering diki is light years ahead of me. anyway i dont think i deserve such a lengthy ban playing like a complete retard should be punishment enough. instead should be commended for bringing new blood, fresh air and mass activity injected into a dead qw. alas another interesting clan has to suffer.

It's not so much about needing an ip to determine you are a fake, more about needing one to prove it should there be any challenge. If an admin wants to ban a player chances are the other admins will want to see some sort of evidence.

I think the funniest part is the whine after I banned them from #Mofo. It's somewhat hilarious that Marvel is crazy enough to write such a bullshit after all this. One of the hightlights of my QW carreer is when they claimed me "butthurt noob" after I banned them.

They were even kind enough to write us very lovely email after we banned them.

ok I dont feel like i explained myself clearly enough i often do that.

what i meant by new blood was, i recruited some quakelive players; robocod and dominator as a new project. obviously i cant be in div3 but these guys are not to the standard of tp for div 3, so ye i faked. got me fair and square. I played with unimaginably bad settings to even it out and I'm not sure i really could pull off "doing a fix".

stev was a late addition cause there werent many suitable alternatives and i had no idea he was as good as he was.

it was fun while it lasted.

pesto(gruff) hasnt played qw for 8 months since i pissed him off and batfink(gibbs) is completly inactive due to irl stuff.

i've never heard of an english stickman rofl

in closing, i hope this buisness doesn't put the rest of the guys off playing qw even if its not in eql.

Wasn't it just determined that robocod was ALSO faking? So basically you only recruited ONE player from qlive, so you and your faking friend, could take in stev to coach this "newbie" team and dominate div3.

Why not signup for div2, which you knew you would fair well in? Instead of cheat yourself into div3 trying to dominate that.

No one thinks it was that bad idea to inject life into QW and I'm sure ppl thought it was a funny team. But lets be clear... the motive was to simply fake your way into div3 and have some fun... some fun demolishing the genuinely bad teams, instead of taking a real challenge in div2.

So don't put the blame on qw community for being "unaccepting". Which is also pure BS. I myself tried to help your team getting up and running. Thanks for wasting my time btw. sounds like i'm standing trial now. i take full responsibility for my actions, I never blamed the qw community, I just think when it comes to new players they are far too invasive, want to know all their details and that might scare people off. robocod is not who the admins are saying he is, so how they came to that conclusion is beyond me. yes as i said previously, both robocod and dominator are from quakelive.

it was a strange thing to do admittedly but i did not do it for easy frags or i would of played on my usual setup and possibly out scored stev. stev and myself did make the clan stronger than i anticipated but i still think other teams are better or at least as strong collectively.

Don't agree on the length of the ban (should be one season max). But saying that robocod is some fresh guy from QL is definitely pure bullshit. Robocod was a standin for SRmix team this past weekend and he definitely knew his shit quite well.

Starting CBK was your last alternative after a couple of other div3 teams couldn't stand your arrogant and impolite attitudes, and the way you got all got defensive whenever we tried to chat to you. I think ddk introduced dominator to QW and you just thought you could get away with pretending to be another QL player & join whatever team he was going to join. You only chose to start cBK when it was obvious none of the other div3 teams trusted you or wanted you to join them, so don't start acting like it was your intention all along to bring a new clan to div3 and train up a QL player.

I also have a demo of allegedly robocod's first qw match in years, on e1m2, a map he claimed to have barely played before, and it's pretty obvious he's not a QL convert as you suggest.

On another note, as far as I know there has only ever been one UK player called Stickman, and I am 100% sure that he has not played 4on4 since 1999...

I can't say we would have allowed you in div3 still, but thats always the case with clans that has mixed skilled players. You would definitly not get banned though for being honest.

I think a one season ban should suffice also. We can't deny that Marvel is one of the (now few) active players left. I'm not condoning what he did, but it only makes it worse for the community to take these actions.
