Mid season report

With 25 games played and 30 to go we are half way through the games. However, there are only 4 weeks left of the regular season so I urge all clans with less than 5 games played to step it up a little. Many of the clans with less than 5 games played haven’t played each other so getting these games played will brighten up the table a lot.

Felia-020

Felia-020 has been great so far and is the hottest competitor for that 4th spot, having beaten all of their strongest rivals so far. The upcoming game versus Ping is no good will be crucial for them to stay in the race for the A playoffs. Raket and Dopas have played every map and their DM2 game has been outrageous losing only 1 time over 5 plays.


Ping is no good

Here is another clan that has outperformed my predictions so far. With two strong wins against Suddendeath 2 and Fraggers United they are on their way to secure a top 4 spot. The major bump on that road seems to be Felia-020 who has also done really well. Bogojoker has been way better than I thought and they haven’t even used Squeeze yet. If they field him against Felia-020 it will be very interesting to see what Raket, Heddan, Dopas and the others can do to counter him. Aside from the impressive wins they have secured 3 points from all their “must win” games so far and also lost 0-2 against both Suddendeath and Experience.


Suddendeath, Fragomatic, Experience

Yes, I’m going to be a bit lazy here but so far these 3 clans have performed according to plan and they still have to meet one another. It has been great to watch the epic lineup of Fragomatic, seeing Rikoll and Kingpin back together and the ever running locomotive that is Suddendeath and I am really looking forward to see what will happen when these three power houses clash. They have each played 4 games, winning all of them 2-0 and the only difference is that Fragomatic has been able to outfrag their opponents a bit more than Suddendeath and Experience. All I can say is, good luck to all three when the real drama begins.


Chosen

Chosen is a bit disappointing so far with low activity and a real hurtful loss against Felia-020. The game versus Fraggers United felt like a leap forwards but right after we were put in the basement again by Felia-020. Apart from that it was routine fragging against Division 99. Chosen hope to crank up the activity the coming weeks to stay in the race for the B playoffs.


Suddendeath 2

Suddendeath 2 most likely spoiled their chances of a top 4 position, which I for one thought they would grab, with losses against Felia-020 and Ping is no good. However, with a strong lineup like this they will be a major threat to the other clans in B playoffs which I am sure they will reach.


Division 99

Division 99 squandered their chances for a map win against Earwax and their biggest hope of winning a map will be against Paras. However, Paras has been praccing like madmen and will most likely be too strong for Division 99. With 7 games played Division 99 is the activity monster just like last season and it is great that they find motivation in hunting enemy rls and reaching frag milestones. These are small victories, but victories nonetheless.


Fraggers United

With 5 games played Fraggers United are at 9th place with 0 map wins. I am sure they expected a little better performances against Felia-020, Chosen and Ping is no good but they still have games to play and chances to polish their point count. If they want to reach the B playoffs it will be extremely important to beat at least Division 99, Paras and Earwax while perhaps getting 2 points from the Suddendeath 2 game. From the looks of it Fraggers United will battle Paras for that 8th and final B playoff spot.


Earwax

Earwax has been the least active clan so far with a loss and a win. It is hard. It is hard to tell their status since the win was against the weakest team Division 99 and the loss came against Ping is no good that has been very good so far. With a little effort they just might be in the contest for 8th spot but there are some really hard games ahead of them. From the looks of it I still think Fraggers United and Paras will be too good and leave Earwax at 10th place.


Paras

Praccing by night and frying eggs around the clock these guys have been off to a slow start when it comes to official games, boasting a 0-4 game record. Their opponents have, however, been of the tougher kind and they still have a shot at B playoffs. They need to win against Division 99 and Earwax to begin with and then the games versus Chosen and Fraggers United will be crucial for their success. If they can bring their best lineup, including Feari, they will have a good shot at B playoffs.
