2009-04-27 00:20 byAfter 10 long weeks of a lot, really a lot of great games the EQL9 group games has come to an end. As we stated pre-season and what has been stated in rules is that not playing all of your games will be punished by point deductions. As you will see this particilarly strike one team in division 1...
Before this season started, we were discussing how we would get rid of the almost standard inactivity that hits the scene mid-season of tournaments. We figured at first we could use point deductions only, and this was our first solution. We soon came to realise that, even though it might work in theory, it wont work that simple in reality. So we made it that way that WO's are still given out like the old system and combined it with point deductions which now became final solution.
As stated in rules; giving WO to another team will works as usual, with the addon that the team giving the WO will face a deduction of 1 point. Unfortunately for the scene, this affected especially Bear Beer Balalaika in division 1 pretty hard. 3B lost 3 points (the game between SD and 3B is voided due to both teams being inactive), making them end up on 10th place and missing playoffs.
In the situations where 2 active teams have been unable to field 4 players at the same time to play their game, games will end 1-1 giving 2 points to each team. (points from a 2-0 map-win (3-1 in points) got 2-2 in points in other words).

Since BLT, Axemen2 and PHC have stopped playing, but played enough games to not get kicked, their remaining games have been declared to be walkovers. The only interesting, unplayed game between two active teams was TOC vs SSC which have been judged a draw giving each team 2 points. This is because both teams have asked each other to play on several occasions but for varioues reasons have been unable to get the game played.
Division 2 - Quarter-finals:

In this division 4 teams ended up being inactive at the end of the season, three of these had enough played games to not be removed. The 4th team AMFW only had 5 played matches, but we kept the team in for historical reasons.

You have read only first line of this question, right? I
mean u dont understand the question at all or just dont want
to answer? There are two "really active teams" like axeman
and dies ater so why they couldnt play each other? Why so
"active team" as dies ater won axeman by wo instead of play
them? I repeat for extra gifted - dies ater and axeman got
so many wo's couse they were "active" so why theese active
clans couldnt play each other?
One more interesting thing - SD lost by WO to all the rest
of the clans they didnt play except 3b. SD last seen on 5th
april played 3 maps thats all of their activity in april. 3b
wasnt really active in april but at least they played 15
maps. For example axeman played 8 maps in april and ~da~
only 5. So who's real active?

Ah i did misread your sentence. Will look it up. All WO's
thats been given out has been with the information we have
got from people. If you don't provide us with information,
or don't answer when we try to reach you, we go by the
information we have recieved. SD has said they won't play
anymore, and we haven't been able to reach 3B. What can we
do? If you have been trying to play SD and they couldn't
play, you should have WO against them. But we haven't got
any information about it, so last chance to tell us if that
is the case, and then you will get WO vs SD.

I digged into what info we had regarding Axe-DA, and here it
is in a short version:
They were supposed to play in beginning of april, but then
arnettes computer broke down so he had to send it in for
repair. They rescheduled to after easter, 23rd of april at
21cet. DA was ready, and so was Axe, but axe decided to play
Oblivion first, and when they had played that game DA
couldn't play so late. So therefore DA got the WO since both
teams had decided to play earlier but axe delayed it by
playing another game first.
All clear about that now?

Deviz, you might not want to comment more. But maybe you'll
still see my comment, and this time actually read what I'm
writing.

As I said in my last post, AMFW only played 5 matches, there
didnt play over half of their matches, thats whats required
to not be deleted.
So had we not been giving out WO's (see reason for this in
previous post). AMFW would have been deleted, and pipedope
would have lost their 3 points that they got from AMFW.
Drumroll... Pipedope would have ended 9th, eg. not in the
playoffs.
Regarding best lineups etc. The eql season is 10 weeks, you
managed to add better players for the last 3 weeks, thats
cool. But still doesn't change that you lost too many games
during the first 7 weeks to get to the playoffs.

In FA we played with whatever we had online, just to get
some games in. We even got in Drugs-Bunny from a 1½ year
idle mode, just so we could play. Still we were not able to
play either DC, doom or amfw. And believe me we tried.

Who deleted all played games of eql9? Nice work admins. If
u'll open every single page from eql1-8 u'll see all the
games played are in treir places. But here they are not
exist anymore. Also i didnt find a game between [o] and oeks
in qstats. Strange thing.

Not so strange since qwstats doesnt gather info from every
server unless you tell it to. I noticed a week ago for
example that one of eq's wasnt added to the list of scanned
servers. There are others aswell.

yeah, I noticed as well that our game vs axemen is not in
qstats.. think we played at eq, port 27500, and if I'm
correct, it hasn't been added to qstats? in fact I don't
think many people know about it at all? (there was some
newspost/.qwmsg about it a few weeks ago?) think it was
added later on or something and that's why people tend to
forget about it and start playing at port 27501 first :)

we played all our games (except from the game vs AQ and BLT)
and still got to play-offs ... if you are good enough you
get to play the play-offs ... PERIOD!
