Division 1 2nd Update

Here is another update on what has happened in Division 1.

Division 1 update 2

Another 5 games have been played in this division since my last update. However, we still have two clans on 0 games played; Demolition Crew and Suddendeath 2. I know for a fact that DC have been hard to reach and that SD2 are experiencing some problems with players being away for various reasons. Let’s hope they can get back on track and force in as many games as possible before the season ends.

Since my last update the most active clan has been Oclan with three games played followed by Chosen and Suddendeath tallying two games each while Fraggers United have slowed down and are still at two games played. The Black Ants have woken up with a game versus Oclan. TvS and ATG are still at one game each and they will need to turn up the pace in order to get all their games played on time.

Suddendeath has managed to score two more 2-0 wins versus Chosen and Oclan in a pretty impressive fashion not giving either opponent a chance to score a map win. The new lineup for Suddendeath seems to be working fine but they are yet to face the toughest opponents. They have been trying to play versus Crazy88 but so far they have been denied because Crazy88 wants to practice some more. Next couple of games will be crucial for their standings in the table since games versus TvS, ATG and Crazy88 are at hand amongst others.

Oclan bounced back from their lopsided loss versus Suddendeath to a comfortable 2-0 win against Immortals. A timely comeback on DM2 was needed after Immortals were off to a good start but in the end getting smacked back down by Oclan. They also beat The Black Ants in TBAs first game of the season with TBA not getting close on either DM3 nor DM2. So far Oclan has played exactly as I expected and the key for them to slip into the A-playoffs is still the game versus ATG.

Chosen faced two of the toughest clans in the division when they took on Suddendeath and Crazy88. On both occasions E1M2 turned out to be a good choice for CSN as they managed a 100+ score versus Suddendeath and came within 7 frags of an overtime versus Crazy88. In the end they still fell to two expected 2-0 losses but they walked away with their honor intact. Hagge made the spectators happy with his long overdue comeback during the E1M2 versus Crazy88.

Immortals are still in the race for the B-playoffs and their games versus Fraggers United, Demolition Crew, Suddendeath 2 and The Black Ants will be extremely important since they already lost 2-0 to CSN. Unlike the mentioned teams Immortals actually play practice games so that speaks in their favor.

The Black Ants, although being chanceless, showed some promising moments versus Oclan and will be a tough nut to crack for the clans in the lower part of the table. With a little devotion and consistency they might just be good enough to earn themselves a B-playoff spot.

That’s it for now and I urge the clans with one or fewer games to get things started as the end of the season is drawing near.
