Can't comment on the game but considering how 'advanced' QW is in terms of technology and features these days it is surprising there is no timeout type feature adopted yet. IMO relying on people 'breaking' etc in official games just seems to lead to ill feeling.

A little ironic that Hooraytio commented about how rare this type of scenario was, when I blogged about it (although to be fair, I still don't think it solves all the problems) :) http://www.quakeworld.nu/blog/303/timeout

Well, you guys obviously thought it was important enough to not even consider breaking - rather the opposite. :)

Mm and Hto were our two weapons when they timed out. Flinta stopped playing to check up on them and i stopped playing as i was certain we would break - naive thinking and lesson learned. You basically played 4on0 before and during the third pent.

A break button wont help you get back your positional and frag advantage either.

Please remember that we are talking 8 minutes of gameplay, map contol, 50 or so frags ahead, whole team either 150/100 or 200/100 with RL or RL/LG vs. 0/100 opponents.

Where do you draw the line?

"But whatever" is quite easy to say when you guys won a final decider map due to unfair circumstances. Not only were 2 players timing out for about 2 minutes, at the same time I was alt-tabbing checking if anyone were on TS etc. In other words, 3 players afk for about 2-3 minutes getting telefragged/spawnfragged. And you call this gg? Wow, I can't help to think of what you guys think a "bg" is then.

Really bad sportmanship.

And then after the game it self, haha, this was almost even more "entertaining"... like shouting, boasting and general trashtalking of how we acted, specially from Essoid.

Wow, I just didn't know qw still had this :p

Too bad that the only thing on voice I've heard during dm3 was "don't fucking dare to break". Probably we should coz started to fool around pent for like 3min didn't help and we had to slowspawn for last 5min :)
