Anywho, looking at current div1 I think our best lineups and us performing our best games can occassionally win some maps vs the bottom 3 teams, but that is it.

In personally the best games I've played in csn this season it would be tb3 prac vs dc where we won dm3,e1m2 and lost dm2. And also a dm3 prac vs CN which we lost with 50ish frags.

Since we thought we would get raped if we didn't play super serious and with some cs-skills we decided to do just that and we managed to do well.
Tho I never felt like we played like this in any eql game.

Personally I would like to see fu,dc,koff,ewmc,a2k,indoors and current top teams in our div2 as one div next season.

ps. I don't think there's ever any of the bottom div1 teams that want to be in div1.

was a generalization which seems to be true for 90% of the clans. it is just useless to end up playing versus the current top6-8 teams

grr forgot to add that smaller divisions should make it a lot more competitive as we saw in div 1 the top team clashes are the only games worth watching and they took a while to happen.

noone likes to participate in rapes i think, for or against but maybe i am wrong.

also just to point out i am not anti div 1. i was one of the guys who was willing to play div 1 despite being misplaced.

probably more on topic, i thought blt would win div 2 at the start so well done but im sure it was a close one that i sadly couldnt watch cause of footy.

ye fair enough just hope you are consistant with your seeding/promoting of teams. even though you seem to state your above the promotion thing because your team doesnt have the desire or skill to compete at division 1 standard. which i can assure you is the same for a lot of the top finishing teams in their respected divisions. lack of motivation to prac and not enough talent to bridge the gap being the decisive factor.

ye i know immortals dropped out, forgot about them ;< dropped out because they were unhappy too. it was a bit of a split with our team, 2 members didnt mind div 1 and the other 2 were against it;/

either way big divisions didnt add a lot imo, quite a few unhappy teams. especially in division 1 and i can pretty much guarantee if your own team was on the receiving end of division 1 placement you would be bitterly unhappy too.

also who are you to say indoor and immortals could of produced results in div 1? it really takes extreme dedication to do that and most clans are just not interested anymore and can only play a few times a week if that.

ye just to conclude i like gaz's idea too and was shocked when i saw the division layout this season. although we all have different opinions and i can understand the division 1 clans wanting the big divs because they rarely get to play a variety of clans.

You should know marvel... indoors and immortals could have had good results in div1 but both clans folded.

That happens all the time when we use large divisions. Perhaps smaller divisions with 2 games per opponent is the solution as Gaz and others have proposed.

We were actually heading to div1 but then TheEvilDog dropped out cause he didn't join Chosen to play in div1...

I think all the div1 teams that played are stronger than any div2 team.

#16 rkd was our man of the season and it's a big shame final was without him. Junkass is also hot now that he has an actual monitor instead of a TV.

so do all the lower half div 1 teams kapo but ye your two teams are above the division structure. if you insist on divisions, should make them smaller so that the skill gap is not so large.

would be awful to see chosen and blt in the same position as dc and koff for example. not to mention the clearly unhappy a2k. who probably share the same attitude as you do hooray. doubt you will show the same consistency when your own team has to make that step.

Short version: We dont use promotion/relegation of a set number of clans. We make new seedings each season.

We didnt just look at your result in div3 in eql11 alltho it was a factor. Just as the results in eql12 will be a factor for the eql13 division placements.

It is silly to compare different teams, divisions and seasons as you did there. We review every team individually before each season and try to place them accordingly. We dont use a formula like the one in your example.

In the osams case we actually thought you guys would be able to compete in div2 seeing as we also moved up BP, ABLZ, DA (now CD) and Public Enemies (now oclan) alltho they had a different clan name last season. All of which you competed with on the same level last season.

Sorry if your clan felt singled out when the fact was that 5 clans moved up...

Ah you see I was confused, because we were promoted to div 2 without changing our roster despite losing the div 3 playoff final 3-0 and having a 2:1 win:loss ratio. I extrapolated your 8:3 win:loss ratio and same final result and came to an apparently incorrect conclusion. My bad! :)

Direct promotion or demotion of top2/bottom2 or whatever the amount is not used anymore. Why? Because clans and players (and some times even the number of divisions) change too much in between seasons. We have to revise each clan before every season to be able to place them as good as we can.

Also, for clans that dont aim to perform at the absolute top have there is no motivation at all to step up in the division system.

In sports you have atleast the income from more spectators and young players who want to play in a higher division to get closer to the pro-leagues and earn money.

Come back in January and we will see which clans are placed in each division.

That is mostly true Gaz, alltho we swap the lineups around a lot. We should have been able to win both dm2 and e1m2 with this lineup though. Daily form and some hot prac for blt before the match was the main difference on dm2/e1m2 last night.

However, we would have needed rkd and junkass to be able to give better resistance on cmt4 and to win cmt1b/dm3. Im too weak on dm3/cmt1b and effie doesnt know cmt1b at all. :)

Whenever we have pracced vs CSN it has felt as though RKD is their key man, so it's not a huge surprise to see them lose without him. Congrats to BLT and good luck to both teams in div 1 next year!

We cant win vs blt unless Hagge is playing for them so this was a good show of tactical awareness from blt!

You were more like our spiritual and mental guide/healer during this season. Important task that is ;) Keeping the troops mental health and spirit in order is very crucial!

Was like a million lightyears away from the easiest game we played this season lol. CSN had a nice map takeover on dm2 after like, 10mins? Making our times really hard. I managed to kill few of their quads at low rl and we got some packs. The only thing that sounded reasonable at this point was to hold the ra-mega area safe for the rest of the round and we did it nicely.

Wont even go on commenting CMT4... Was kinda awfull from both of us imo. Watch the demos, downloadable from qw.foppa.dk:27501-27503... :D

e1m2 ah, our worst map I think. Was kind of a mess atleast from my point of view, things happening so fast I couldn't keep track of wtf was going on... I just tried to kill 'em all, but managed to do that very poorly ;)

Very well played CSN, and thank you for having the real sportsmanship and played the game today even tho you didn't probably have your best lineup ready for battle. Have had enough of waiting and waiting during this season and we just wanted to get the game played and over with.

Congrats blt for the win and a great season, you chose wisely benching hagge for the most important game of the season (led to a 3-0 win!).

Sadly me and junkass couldn't make it to the game cause of work but the people who played did a good job, should've atleast gotten a win on either dm2 or e1m2 imo but both maps were supposedly close.

We need more professionalism in div2 to schedule games more in advance and announcing so observers will know, so that the playoffs become better, tho I'm really only thinking of 2 teams who screwed up div2 playoffs (hello ablz, hello csn not being able to get 2 of their players to the final.. :P)

With better scheduling we could've probably played the game on a sunday evening and gotten more spectators and maybe even commentators to help keep the scene alive. Can't leave all this up to div1 guys.
