A few players ruin div5?

Lets have a little debate about the current "situation" in div5. I'm refering to a few div5 players that clearly could play in other divisions. We sure have missplaced a team or two, for that we are sorry, but it will probably happend in every EQL. What were interested in talking about is mainly what to do with players that joins late.

The current "solution" is to not have rules for this, everyone may join any team the like and hopefully the ammount of div1-3 players that wanna play in div5 is managable. This is probably quite fair and sure easy for us admins to deal with but were not sure it makes div5 as funny as it should be.

One side of the coin is that anyone should be allowed to play for whatever team he/she likes to and that teams must be allowed to recruite good players to improve (compare with Real Madrid or Chelsea).

The other side is obvioulsly that div1-3 players in div5 makes theire teams better then the other div5 teams, ie boring matches and less oportunities for other div5 teams to qualify to div4.

What we need is suggestions to improve this in EQL4, preferable strict rules that are easy to understand and follow. We are not that eager to have admin debates and look at demos for every single player that joins late.

enough of this bullshit about defs? Yes we have some new members, whats wrong with that? didnt we won some games before that also? we were missing some activity and now we can manage to prac every day. T.G lost by 300 frags cuz they were just jumping around the map not playing seriously.

We are misplaced? Well i dont deny we could prolly play on div3 but we would end bottom table for sure. Like i said before we have been praccing every day and lost some games with div4 clans even with div5 (lost one dm2 against The Pimps) so why all the hate?

I dont rely understand why marvel is beeing so mentioned...do u think hes rely that good? man just check our games does he win them by himself? Yes hes a good defensive player but hes not a superstar ffs!

All this crap cuz we won against some div4 clans? wtf...are they unbeatable? We are suppose to lose all our games is that it?

btw Hooraytio dont u have nothing better to do? get a life?

So if a team starts to play better and win some games thats cuz they are using div1 fakers...wtf is wrong with u people?

Divisions shouldn't be about 'skill' at all but where you finished up last season. What Iskall says is right, proper promotion and relegation and shorter gaps. Its the ad hoc reorganization of the divisions between seasons that caused these problems in the first place. Draconian rules about who can and can't play for what team and even more admin intervention will only make things worse.

thats a very long term approach to fixing the problem, if the weaker clans only know getting raped, they will eventually stop playing and thats just sad... plus players will keep switching back to teams in lower divisions, so some teams that stay "honest" will have to keep enduring getting raped and they dont deserve that

knast there's nothing to agree/disagree about konk's post. Just leave defs alone, what we have is the result of alot of prac and thats it. if u really wanna criticise defs, you should see the NQR reports first k? and see the demos while ur at it. pfft! we're not a "new" clan in the community, why does the wins are surprising to some ppl? they arent to us at least... not with the opponents we got and the amount of prac we get these days.

im getting pissed to see defs name getting dirty because of some lame ass niggas who whine all the time. aim harder on your goals and get real.

I also find very funny that only now this kind of discussion started. in earlier nqr's there was a whole bunch of faking CLANS and there was hardly any discussion.

bottom line is leave defs out of this mess. at least try to understand and dont make false accusations as the ones that were made until here.

mushi and konk, i think you should chill, i havent read anything bad here towards defs except for people asking who marvel is..

the fact why people do ask about him is that more often than not he is your best player. you will certainly agree that he has a skill level he can't have gained just in the past few weeks, good 4on4 players dont fall off trees... so its understandable people start to wonder who he is... if its really gibbs as many people have suggested (moris wasnt the first one with that idea even though i dont think its him), it would be just as outrageous as it with serox playing for mor. so unless he unfakes any time soon you will always have to deal with people asking who he is, especially if you keep raping one bronze level clan after another :)

I doubt anything will be done about this. Just look what divisions EQL admins come from. Do you think any div1-2 player cares? Zanne is involved in this all ("ofcourse i can play in any team i want") and i guess zerki will rather sit silent to not get kicked out of the crew.

It sux when you have fair fights with 3 enemies and the 4th owns you in one place way2ez. But better get used to this ppl. And take a look at NQR crew and their home divisions. Things will get even worse soon.

and to Dramaqueer: Helsingborg plays at the highest level of football in sweden so i dont think anyone could complain. Besides football at that level is all about money. Qw is all about fun on all levels...

mushi,konk: you guys are clearly missing the point. its not the question of whether marvel wins by himself or by teamplay. this is a question whether its ok to fake and you+admins are showing us all that its perfectly allright to fake and not reveal the nicks of players by which the qw community knows them. if i were with you in the div. i would certainly use more radical ways of approaching this problem. this way its up to the other 4B clans to do it.

My personal view on all of this is (as i mentioned in a comment way back among these comments) is that we go back to the non-promotion-division system that NQR had back in NQR8. When a new clan makes a request to add a new player we should consider whether or not it's an "okey" addition to the squad.

I would've liked to see the system used in EQL2/EQL3 to work, but that's obiously not the case. Disbanding clans, clan hoppers, fakers etc fucks up the system and make it no fun for clans that are not so good because they are new or don't got much time to spend on QW any longer.

First off, I must at least partially agree with konk. I've specced (or played with/against) defs quite a lot lately, and they're a solid team, not a one man show by marvel. And putting them in a higher div would (at this point) be pretty stupid. While they have a set of good players, they also have less experienced players (who have great potential for sure, but just aren't read for a higher div yet) among their lineup too, and div4 looks just about right for them. And they still got some tough opponents coming up, so let's just wait and see! If they totally own every game, then that indirectly solves the problem: Div3 next season!

But the part where I completely agree with moris and son: Marvel appeared out of nowhere just a couple of weeks/months ago, and it's OBVIOUS that either he's an oldschool player, or way more likely: fakenicking! And the latter is simply unacceptable from every angle of perspective.
As moris said, if I were in div4 I'd probably do everything possible to achieve that marvel is not allowed to play any league games at all unless he reveals his "real" nick.
Aside from thinking that some of the defs guys are really nice, and that I think defs belongs in the top third of the div4 table (even without marvel) I really gotta say: Do something about the marvel "problem", because son is right: People will probably bug you about this forever.

If it is syke then it's about the right level :) He was in Fatal Error in the UKCL days, and most recently he's played in Numeric and Jihad Warriors (under the name 'Water').
