A few players ruin div5?

Lets have a little debate about the current "situation" in div5. I'm refering to a few div5 players that clearly could play in other divisions. We sure have missplaced a team or two, for that we are sorry, but it will probably happend in every EQL. What were interested in talking about is mainly what to do with players that joins late.

The current "solution" is to not have rules for this, everyone may join any team the like and hopefully the ammount of div1-3 players that wanna play in div5 is managable. This is probably quite fair and sure easy for us admins to deal with but were not sure it makes div5 as funny as it should be.

One side of the coin is that anyone should be allowed to play for whatever team he/she likes to and that teams must be allowed to recruite good players to improve (compare with Real Madrid or Chelsea).

The other side is obvioulsly that div1-3 players in div5 makes theire teams better then the other div5 teams, ie boring matches and less oportunities for other div5 teams to qualify to div4.

What we need is suggestions to improve this in EQL4, preferable strict rules that are easy to understand and follow. We are not that eager to have admin debates and look at demos for every single player that joins late.

The problem remains, there will always be fakers and there will always be overpowered clans in the wrong division, but why the hell did you think we made EQL as we did? I think the first thing I wrote about EQL when introducing it was that, probably it wont be very even until a few seasons has been played - and guys it has worked, unfortunatly people tend to move around to other clans in lower/higher or same divisions, therefor it will never be 100% even, but instead of sitting here and complain about it, go out and practice, win some games, lose some, lose all if you cant do better, but eventually you'll get to a point where you and your clan in which you're loyal to, will get better.

serox: well we have not fun at the moment, in the last eql seasion we had much fun win/lost our eql/nqr games and prac against div4 clans, but now the div4 clans like div2-3.
defs added players(4 players are new), and now sd.p added 2 players(div2) because they lost all games, suddenly mor added serox(div1) because they wanna have a chance against defs/sd.p.
So dont tell me its just a fakerproblem.
Its a problem that someone always allow div1-2 additions in div4/5.
I think the other clans will do the same in few days.
In german we call it "Teufelskreis"

i joined MOR b4 we played any games in EQL.

if you spent as much time practicing as you do whineing you would be div2 in no time!!

Going back a few thousand comments... def is not syke, although those two used to stick together a lot. Both fit the profile for sure, but they're not superstars.

Give marvel a break :) He's been playing qw for years, but only recently in team games from what I gather. Defs have been div4/5 for a while now, so they deserve some good players who can take them up the divisions.

Ser is way too good for div4, always has been. But then again, fer apparently asked for Morituri to be placed in div3 and was rejected, so maybe they're just making sure they get div3 next season :)

Either way, it's nice to see UK players getting a mention again!

Morituri and defs had probably been given wildcards if they have added theire new players in time and with theire more well known nicknames. The rules for playeradditions/nicks will be changed in EQL4.

omg i think its really a bad league with bad admins !

first of all, we didn't loose our first eql-games because we didn't have trash. We were facing tough clans and we barely got a map from csn in the nqr-game.
now that we've practiced more we might get to win a match or two. Trashie will contribute with his experience in 4on4, but I don't think he'll topfrag every game we play, seing how it is now, he's only done that once. and wth, if everybody else can do it... why not us? :P
