Oblivion out of EQL3

Oblivion has been kicked out of EQL after getting their second warning.
They have been caught ghosting in their game vs SSC and all of their games will be deleted.
We have been talking about this case for 1 week now to gather all the information and have finally made a decision.

Some info about the ghosting that accured:

Fnosk joined their vent channel not knowing that it was a EQL game and helping his teamm8s during the first map (dm3). I saw/listen to this and took a talk with him in another ventrilo channel to ask him what he was doing and he answered me that it was not EQL, it was pracc.

Directly after he found out that it was a EQL game he told me that he was very sorry about what he did but he didnt knew it was EQL.

Even though he didnt knew, his teammates should have told him to go the fuck out of the vent channel or shut up and not give hints about the enemys.
This is their seccond warning (first warning was given when they played with hagge even though he wasent in their playerlist).

Many teams use mm3 and if you want to be sure that they dont cheat ask an admin to step i,n their vent channel and see how many ppl they got there.

Im very sorry to have lost a team like Obvilion in eql and hope that they will be back for EQL4.

because it was sassa who took the decision? he have been really mad at us since they got kicked out of nqr.. he blamed that on dje and now he's taking out his anger.. beware \o/

I just can't stop laughing about it.. this is qw and not some fucking tournament where there is any money involved.. it's supposed to be FUN and we didn't do anything to cheat.. the only thing I heard fnosk say on vent was "well done Hagge" :) and I didn't say anything about it because I wasn't myself quite sure if it was eql or not, since he was on vent.. this is just pure bs from sassa..

and I even heard him give u guys hints on vent

btw, I didnt do anything wrong in NQR, I wasnt even in that game, was my clanmates and nussi... not me at all

btw, should it really take more than one week to come with a decision? we only got an unofficial warning at first and thought that was all.. then after we've played a couple of more games this comes.. maybe make your decisions a bit faster so we know that should spend our time on other things than qw?

because he was sorry? of course you're sorry if you're on the ventchannel without knowing it's eql? can you give examples of any hints he gave us? I at least, didn't hear him saying anything else than complimenting us when one of us did anything good.. and I wouldn't call that ghosting..

To retain order in the league and prevent clans from cheating effectively we may issue warnings to teams if they misbehave in some way.

Paradoks, I just arrived and I heard there were some discussion about it being eql, so when the game started I was quite sure it was eql yeah, but when I heard fnosk was still on vent I got a bit insecure and it's not like I'm gonna bring up a discussion about it with fnosk and the others in the middle of the game? fnosk didn't know it was eql since he wasn't gonna play and entered as a spec just before the game begun..

I think the others played prac just before and fnosk decided to get some rest because he got a bit tired of playing, but he remained on vent like we always do.. we often hang in the ventchannel even if we don't play, because it makes it much easier to get a prac going..

You're taking an interesting point to extremes, as usual. Surely the job of the admins is to confirm in writing what is not allowed and what the punishment will be? Check the NQR rules page - it's all covered there.

Btw it's interesting that you defended Suddendeath when they were kicked from NQR when there was CLEAR PROOF of guilt of a rule being broken, but you have no trouble condemning Oblivion when there doesn't seem to be any evidence other than Sassa's word, and there are no rules about this on the EQL page.

Another example of the EQL crew's amateurish approach to making things up as they go along...

sassa, doesn't matter if it was you or your teammates, it was your clan, and it pissed you off... you ban our clan, we ban yours (and yeah, dje was just as involved as the rest of the nqr-crew)... zzz. we always have the whole team on vent and never go for ghosting, just "cheering" and giving teammates support. who beside you sassa can tell it was ghosting?

if you're removing us from next season, remove us from this one aswell, because we don't want to be a part of a tourney ruled by sassa and satans little helpers if they don't have any will to be objective...

we have not cheated. the only one saying that is sassa... sassa has always hated oblivion and i think the most clan in the community knows that we are a good sport. you can chose side, either you help sassa with his nqr-revenge (for fakenicking) or you take our side. personal issues shouldn't make the community suffer (yeah, i actually think that our team of -98 is a contribution to a league if we participate).

the problem is that u cant check it always (clans using other voiceprogramms or other servers)

well u can it check current the game.
There is a command who u can check which players the spectators are spectating.
But yeah its difficult to check it.

Did he actually use the words "Sorry I ghosted"? Cos at the moment it's you saying he did, and Oblivion (Hagge & Nakoz) saying that fnosk was just 'cheerleading'.

If this IS an act of revenge by Sassa, then it's utterly misplaced as you can see:

a clan that broke the rules (with the opposing clan's and an nqr admins consent) is not the same thing as a clan that blatantly cheats, and defends itself by saying "sorry, i thought it was a prac" as in "we ghost in pracs".

the funny thing about the decision to kick sd is that dje was more or less the one who thought that decision was a bit harsh.. however we've let sassa have his own playing ground and we have all entered it.. maybe it's time to realize what a mistake we have done?

@ #36 "an nqr admins consent" What a ridiculous statement! Not ONE NQR admin would give consent to what SD did, and if any of them did then they would not be an NQR admin for much longer.

It's still just Sassa's word against Oblivion's though. What's wrong with 'cheerleading' in a prac game? And it's perfectly understandable for players to not realise if it's EQL. When we played EQL vs ToT recently, Kauka asked "holy shit was that EQL?" after we had won the decider.

I agree with you peppe, but maybe you have missed out on what I've been saying all the time? that we DID NOT CHEAT to make it a bit clearer for you.. however it's not always that easy to hear who'se the one talking on vent, so I'm gonna check with fnosk when he wakes up if he really said: [14:40:57] <Sassa> "enemy coming from lift, he is strong, watch out" or something like that.. because I'm quite sure he didn't do anything else than say "good job" a little here and there..

what does that prove? absolutely nothing. "he thought" and that's what this f*ckin decition is based on. sassas thoughts. last comment is "i'm agile like a ninja", and ye, maybe he shouldn't have been on vent since he knows that sassa's just searching for revenge.

I would like to quote the interview from the NQR-site done yesterday, before this came out. by mutilator:

look, when we used a "not ok" (in sassas eyes) prefix in a game, he almost kicked us. a bit TOOO convenient in my eyes. he couldn't do it that time, but now when SD got kicked out of nqr he had to do something... sad. sassadoks? :(
