admins should take a closer look at this one... technically mor isnt breaking the rules, because "regret" only plays for them in eql, but the fact that he plays for Firing Squad in NQR might say a thing or two about him belonging into div4...

marvel and azzid are good players, but as long as i have no idea who they are or were, you can't really accuse them of anything... it's not really the issue at hand.

slime's team lost their first match in div2, even with him playing, plus he is playing under his real name so the admins had the chance to evaluate which division to put his clan in... this wasn't the case with mor...

if nothing was fishy with serox playing for mor, why is he using his real nick with fs, but not with mor?

i am playing q4 full time now and said i would play with Mor in a low div cos im so rusty and dont have time to practice. i dont the time for div1. i wanted to join a uk clan also.

First of all a quote from the rules:

It is obvious that serox used another nick to confuse the admins, so they would approve him as a late addition. I am sure an admin would never allow a div1-player to join div4. If I am wrong at this point, please correct me Mr.Vader or Mr. Sassa.

We from Team Dybbuk hope that there will be some action from the admin crew regarding this case.

We would like to see either the player serox being removed from the mor-rooster or mor beeing moved up to div3.

If there wont be any actions from the admin-crew we hereby call upon the other div4b teams to boycot morituri. Dont play vs. them. Give them a taste of their own lameness - Show them that there are qw-lovers who dont "give a flying fuck about sportsmanship".

We are really disappointed to see an oldschool team like mor (aka half of jams) to act in such a way.

We feel fooled in some way, especially after reading the irc-comments by serox after the game (see Son's second comment). This proofes us that they dont "play for fun" (see comment #19)

Actually the rule-breaking part is not the worst thing. You somehow "exploited" the rules. But from the view of sportsmanship, you acted bad mannered. (In my opinion, which you surely dont have to share.) And just by saying "Everyone does it, so we did it too..." , well... just because everyone else acts shitty, you surely dont have to.
Maybe its a bit brutal to call upon a "boycot". I wrote that in an spontaneous way, but still I am attracted to the idea of protesting against certain ways of behavior.
But raising you one division higher or removing serox wouldnt be a "real" punishment. (If not for the case that you would not to be able to play at all without serox- then I would just say: Raise them to div 3)

ok, its not that we dont like morituri. its just the fact that we play in a division that right follows the division intended noobs. mor already is a pretty good team who already could compete in higher divs imo. adding another super-skilled player to their roster just tilts the balance even more. i agree that such things happened before a couple of times, we have seen division 5 teams comming out of the season with > 4k frags. but the fact that half of division 4b teams have made use of late additions before the division has played a single match clearly shows that the EQL system is flawed. this way admins have no chance to equally seed the teams on the divisions. if this trend keeps going on we will see a division 4 in EQL 5 that will beat many teams on division 2 (</exaggeration>).

so serox is playing q4 fulltime now (geez.. is the hype still going on?). we are fulltime non-playing. maybe that fact should disassociate us a division.. maybe two. i dont know how active and elite the other division 4 teams are and maybe we are to sucky and should be put into division 5 next time.. but then again.. who knows which reppies and akkes well meet there..

mozart = blau, fah-q from ff and mostly div2-3 teams "fakenick"

and then we have alot more, even a whole clan "jugs" who fakes all of them

i am not a div1 player anymore i hardly play at all. i just wanted t play some qw now n then for fun with a clan. i didnt want to join a kenya team i wanted to play with al ow ping for once. for years i played in sweden and denmark so was looking for forward to playing with a UK team.

i didnt try to hide any thing and didnt think i was breaking any rules (am i?). i used a different name as i was playing for fun and was expecting to get owned.

Maybe we need a name registry where people can register all the secondary nicks they want to .. to increase transparency .. but maybe we just need decency ..

Anyways .. the comments after the game made it clear that even if we would have played better, we would never have had a chance. I mean if someone can say that he played with the hand breaks on to let the other guys have some fun too. WTF?

So it goes ..

BTW: We do not care about the final points. We have won our share of matches and lost almost just as often. We just play for a fun night and yesterday we felt cheated and fooled. Oh and while we probably would not have won DM3 either way, its a huge differences getting one of our biggest spanks vs. loosing 100:200. So to conclude winning and loosing is not binary for us.

i dont care that we have lost this match, we would have lost anyways. We have lost the game vs moritori last season but that one actually made fun.

if a div1 player would join us i would speak to one of the admins that our team is now better then ever pls move us one div up, like a gentleman would do.

we play qw only for fun, we play it once a week, we dont practice at all, we want challaging exciting games, we dont care if we lose. Afterwards we like to drink our beer talk about the game have a good lough at mistakes quadbores nice actions and so on...

Here's the problem with EQL's system. There needs to be more flexibility and clans who want to play in higher divisions should be encouraged and allowed to do so.

This Mor team without Serox is essentially pretty close to JAMS' old lineup and they were a solid div 3 team at the very least. It still seems odd to see them in div 4 :)

i stopped playing W ages ago. deleted it and every thing. i have some spare time while Quake4 is fixing mods and my Q4 league games and LANs are on hold. So i thought i would install QW and play for some fun now n then. I dont have time to get in shape for div1 and i dont know any clans in the lower divs. i wanted to join a team that would be fun and good pings. I know Mor and the Jam guys etc so why not. i Asked them, they did not ask me.

I did not also want our Quake4 sponsors to know i am still playing QW as i am meant to be practicing for some tourneys which we get paid to go too. Doesnt look good if they find out that i am spending time with another game.

Serox: I honestly do not care about your progaymer problems. If Quake4 sucks so much that you need to play some QW for fun then I do not have a problem with that either. If however your fun means spoiling the fun of others I do have a problem. There is a huge gap between div1 and div4.

Anyways I would wish people would be more sensitive to this stuff. I presume Mor did not realize what they were doing to others. Before the match there were only good words about Mor and I do not think we will hold a grudge over this for long.

I do hope however that Mor does realize that this was a really bad move. I also hope that the Admins do take some steps (not necessary against Mor, but against the problem in general .. maybe a separat "ethics code" that could help in increasing fair play).

Maybe Dybbuk needs to create a league again which stresses fair play, fun and respect. Maybe with some system to rate the other teams general conduct.

i have been inactive for ages and wanted to play some no-brainer games. div1 use to give me a headache and stress me out. too old for it now, i wanted to play some fun games untill new patch for Q4 is out.


@anonymUs: ???? what is it with the German beef against me here? is this still the same whine from like 2 years ago from a aimbot i used? for those who dont know here it is. i used a aimbot on a server in Finland for fun, som1 gave me it and i tried it out under a "unnamed" nick to see how it worked etc. i didnt use it for any personal gain or in any official games. every one had that bot when it went around and i am sure i was not the only one to try it out.

i said i could only have time for 1 league so not to sign me up for NQR or any thing else. just wanted to play some fun games when i had time.

the only reason i went public with this is because its unfair towards clans like dybbuk who are trying to have some fun in the game, actually make quite an effort to get their games played and then have to face a team thats div3 to begin with and then goes along and adds another superstar to rape and pillage div4. surely the admins dropped the ball by not putting morituri in div3 to begin with BUT im quite certain they wouldn?t have kept up their decision if they knew you were now playing for them.

i can't even start to point out how ridiculous is that you want to justify your faking with your pro status in another game. did you ever consider that you being in div4 can ruin the fun of the game for the entire division? To think of you gloating after the game, that dm3 was the type of game that can ?break up clans? makes me sick considering dybbuk have been playing this game for over 8 years now with the same lineup.

the demos are up on dybbuk.de and anyone can make up their own mind on whether you are so rusty that you should be in such a low division on a team that might have won it without you. If you really were that bad im sure you wouldn?t have played for FS in a league match a few days ago. As fair as I know, div4 players are hardly ever invited to play for such teams.

#32 I'd like to think that the current system makes teams more active, a team can not simply skip half theire matches and then whine themself to a higher div. IMO the system or rather us admins failed when we let every late additional member play wherever they like.

FS needed to play the game right there and then. I was asked to join for NQR while they had 7 people on the server and needed to start. I was the person they came too as I am not in the NQR already with any clans. If you see the games I played with FS I think you would agree they would have done better without me!

I am sure MOR would have won both maps without me. Dm2 I played so bad and gave away RL which gave them the map anyway. i didn?t make the difference and take back the map or anything. I was running around like a headless chicken.

I am not at the level of skill I was so I would not say I am div1 standard at all.

I have not broken any rules and I didn?t think this would cause so much whine!

Playing for fun you win and lose so who cares. I joined a team and I am playing fun.

How about leave it up to admins to deal with it and see what they feel is right.

Also, remember that only losers play for fun. MOR knew excactly what they were doing, they just wanted to rape all and you can stop whining about it as nobody including the admins cares. Besides, aim and skill in teamplay do not disappear if you stop for a while...It all comes back pretty quickly.
