ggs, a bit nervous play from us but as the game went on we started to get our normal game going.

Now we just have the Milton - Locktar duel final and then we can all go for a well deserved summer vacation.

Slackers was the only real threat to us this season. Even more now that ParadokS is back in the game.

Kinda nervous game from both sides and very tight the first two maps. On the third and fourth map it felt like SR kinda gave up. It would probably been a 5-mapper if SR had performed as good as they did vs Fusion.

Congrats to tvs, though I had expected more from Slackers today. First two maps showed great promise, and zero was insanely hot on dm2. But e1m2 felt very poor from what I've usually seen from Slackers there, of course not taking anything away from tVS performance on that particular map. Shame SR did a few crucial mistakes so early that last dm3 and they never seemed to recover from them :/ All in all a perfect season. Thanks to everyone whos been involved.

well everything went as expected. we took a map and lost the game, but hard to fight the odds. Too bad we couldn't do some surprise game here like the recent ice hockey in germany, that woulda been nice. GL @ QHLAN and next season.

Not bad, not bad... tVS losing two maps this season is a sign of health within the community, although they still showed us even the second best is too far behind to stand a decent chance in a BO5.

The first two maps was really enjoyable to watch, and both of them could have gone either way. Specially Zeros variable performance on DM2, ranging from brilliant runs with quad and excellent timing on his attacks, to his clumsy trips to the lavagod @ tele-area. On e1m2, the third map, the lead was too big too early to ever make it really interesting. After the last pent on the last DM3, I just didn't bother watching anymore. That map was pretty much over after the first 3 mins.

All in all a good match, but I would expect more from SR on the e1m2 and the last Dm3. Congrats to tVS for yet another first place in EQL :-)

Well, I can't really see the fact that we had to field a player who had not played tdm in 5 years, or the fact that we can't find any prac in months as a 'sign of health'.

The first problem I can try to fix for the next season but for the other I'm not really sure what to do. It was evidently demotivating for many of us to keep 'playing' qw without ever actually playing.

This complete refusal to play outside officials was something I don't remember seeing before this season. I can understand that one doesn't prac the opponent a day before the game but when it goes on for the whole season it's getting ridiculous.

I hate behaviour like that. By constantly playing those better than you will you find your own weaknesses in order to improve your own game.

People not praccing tVS will just make some tVS players give up and stop playing. How is that a win for the community? We need to keep the community active and stop being cry-babies when loosing.

Fucking MAN UP and play whoever is available people!

No I won't start naming names, they know who they are. :P We would have teams asking for prac with .qw and when we go ask we are faced with deadly silence or excuses. I even understand rather playing someone else but how lame is that you rather not play at all than play with us. This happened all the time, every day. I understand it's a tactic but trust me, it doesn't work. Like javve says the best way to get better still is to play with the best. Grow some balls people. The qw scene really doesn't need this no-play attitude.

I remember asking for prac and then being msgd by blaze or ihminen but we never accepted. Almost all of the time we had another opponent lined up tho and i guess for a clan like Chosen to get better we should start praccing more vs clans that are around TKS/oblivion/3TK/A2K/DC level. We dont have motivation to become much better than we are now i guess.

Afaik we have pracced vs tvs 2-3 times before and the result was really disappointing for both clans i guess :).

However, almost all of the top10 clans in div1 should perhaps rethink their "i dont wanna play vs tvs" strategy. Some clans are satisfied in div2-3 but for those who already are in div1 its kinda hard to understand how they cant be more motivated than to end up in the bottom...

Hooraytio yeah our main problem is definately not with Chosen. If you look at our game results from this season there's plenty of good tight games and there's simply no grounds to claim that it's pointless to play with us for most div1 teams. Special thanks to Enigma who had a healthy attitude about playing and I'm definately rooting for them in the Bronze game that is hopefully played! :)

I tried to field a team that would have the courage to play tVS at any given time, regardless of our setup. It was hard as some members refused to play, but I managed to force them a couple of times.

Too bad your goddamn arrogance even destroyed my motivation to give you a half decent opponent.
Refusing to play the opponents map is not the way to aspire new prac opponents. You've brought much of this upon yourself.

Time for an axemen comeback soon?

I've also seen a lot of clans denying to play tVS cause they don't want to be raped, but I also remember while playing in Axemen that tVS sometimes refused to play e1m2 / cmtX maps. I also remember pracs vs tVS being canceled with 7 players on a server because one in tVS refused to play with 38ms.

But yeah, I agree. It's shitty refusing to prac tVS due to fear of rape. However, tVS is not the Jesus of pracs either.

Well tVS have been able to and asking for prac quite a few more times than Enigma in the past 5-6 months and yet they both played about the same amount of pracs. That actually does prove Blaze's point even more I would think.

I don't recall anyone else besides Axe ever having a map related problem with us so I don't think it played any part in this. I don't remember what happened with Axe, but it's true that some of our guys used to have a problem with playing e1m2, though we have almost always still played it anyway. Saying that you quit quake because once upon a time we didn't prac some map sounds more like an excuse than a real reason to me.
