Have been a while now since we played 4on4 in a tourney.
With all of you guys back we hope that we can have as active
tourney as we had back in eql3!
The registration starts 4 of
September (Monday) and EQL4 starts 18 of September (Monday).
Why we start this late? Lots of the players are students and
they begin their studies in the start of september and will
hopefully find a clan before that!
We hope that you all can spread this news to the major sites
so we can spread it around that we have started up again.
Much love /EQL-crew
ps. comments will be fixed later on, its offline due to
comment on Quakeworld.nu/forum instead
Comments are now working again. All you have to do is to
input the code from the generated image above the form. Make
sure not to miss any of the smaller letters that may get
lost among all the lines, like the I's for example.
A new layout or at least a new logo would be really nice for
EQL4. Please feel free to create one and contact us, asap.
I like Ake's idea regarding a fixed schedule and there are
probably several different solutions, what about this
First off we do not play on Fridays & Saturdays. Of the
remaining five weekdays each team picks a primary, secondary
and third day that suits them. Each team also picks a time
that suits them best, say either 19:00, 20:00 or 21:00CET.
This is all done when you sign up (where u vote maps) and
once the schedule is made you may not change this.
Then we (or rather some script) make the schedule. There
will always be a weekday that suits both teams, and if too
many teams chose Sunday as theire primary day we could use
some modifications to spread the days. Regarding the time a
mean value must be most fair.
csn picks Sun > Thu > Tue @ 20:00CET
sdp picks Mon > Wed > Tue @ 21:00CET
IE theire match will be scheduled Tue @ 20:30CET
Then I have an idea regarding WO's too:
If none of the teams have players at the scheduled time then
the result will be 0-0, maybe we could have one backup day
scheduled as well but I dunno if that is such a good
If only one team have four players they need to prove that
in order to get WO by joining a server and take a screenshot
with theire four players and a spectator (prefereable an
EQL-admin) present to confirm it.
Yesterday we saw the final in division 5, both teams are allready
through to division 4 next season but a final is never wrong
is it? :-).
First map was The Gibbers, dm2, they got a pretty nice start and
held the map throughout the game, we saw a few exceptions
when Znappe managed to sneak in and kill a some RL's but it
was never a close.
Second map was ZaK's arena, dm3, =tG= got the first pent and the
second RL, the game was never really a close but the scores
indicates other, we saw wonderful shafting by ZaK and a
great TP from The Gibbers.
Third map was ZaK's choice, cmt4, they had to win the map but it
looked like The Gibbers handled the situation well, even
though we saw an amazing quad steal and retake of YA by,
again, Znappe in the middle of the match, noone doubted the
fact that this was going to be the final map.
All in all, Great game, and congratulations The Gibbers!
PS. dont forgett Sundays div1 final between LegeArtis and
Slackers @ 19:00 CET
For everyone who likes to stay active during the summer,
we'll host EQL Summertour starting in late June and ending
in mid August, a signup form will be here soon.
In other news, the winners of Division1 EQL4 will recieve
some money, Im (zanne) currently dealing with some sponsors
about a prize pot to the winners, this will only be for
Division1 and the reason for that seems to me be quite
obvious. I really hope that clans practice alot during the
summer and EQL summertour and that this perhaps could light
a new fire to the quake scene - More about this shortly.
Dont expect too much thought, we're looking at perhaps
4-500? for the winning clan, ofcourse it would be nice to
have more, but hey this is a 10 year old game we're playing
Have a nice summer everyone and Im looking forward to see
your clan in EQL Summertour!
